Just heard TD combine press conference... He talked about developing young talent and its importance in today NFL.... Near the end of the interview he talked about jonathan massaquoi.... He and the coaching staff seems to be really high on him... TD talked about how massaquoi is a gifted pass rusher, showed flashes in practice , and that they see him definitely as more then a backup (with development) ... I cant lie.. It was always what i was waiting to hear about Sidbury when he was on this roster.. It was more of... "This is an important year for him to contribute" ... It sounded more like they think Jonathan Massaquoi can really develop into a good pass rusher.

that's funny, because we can't develop young talent for shit.

He looked pretty solid in preseason last year, so I think the fact he wasn't on field this past season was more of the coaches wanting to make sure he could learn as much as possible behind Abraham. I think the great thing about Massaquoi is that if Nolan wants to roll out in a 3-4 defense at all this year for certain situations, Mass can play OLB in a 34.

perhaps adding OSI or Freeny in sidbury's spot to teach Massoq.....they said he was very OSI like in the draft....

I don't pay attention to anything smith or td says in the offseason anymore.

^ solid advice for anyone. Even during the season it's just the same over and over.

Osi and Freeney are 4-3 guys and it's pretty clear we're moving more to 3-4 hybrid. They don't fit. Freeney specifically said he wants to go to a 4-3 team. Osi is too big to be a tweener.

It's safe to assume that our new over hyped DEs will never make it to the top of the depth chart.
