I was in the Super Dome, handing out ski masks and setting up rape stands. it was a public service RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - Drathdon - 02-05-2013 06:01 PM (02-05-2013 05:58 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: He said as bad as things were in the city many things were vastly exaggerated. So, only half the rapes reported then? RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - Aftermath - 02-05-2013 06:07 PM "Never on the field of the Super Dome have so many been raped so often by so few." Pretty sure this is exactly what Churchill said. And it almost all occurs in an area that visitors never see. The reason why New Orleans is such an ideal location for the Super Bowl is that there is more than enough rooms, restaurants and recreation ALL within walking distance of the game's venue. No other location better serves the crowds. That area is also safer than most any other area that has hosted the game. There were 69 homicides between 8/9/2012 and 12/31/2012 in the metropolitan New Orleans area. None of those took place in or around the French Quarter or the area encompassing the Superdome. It is one of the safest areas in the country. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - Aftermath - 02-05-2013 06:18 PM unless of course you are looking to get gang raped, then you might want to steer clear of the Super Dome. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - AsylumGuido - 02-05-2013 06:20 PM Whatever. Here's an interesting little tool that shows comparisons between America's Favorite Cities - New Orleans vs. Atlanta. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - Aftermath - 02-05-2013 06:28 PM You won't ever find me arguing that Atlanta isn't a pile of shit so I don't really get the need for a comparison. This isn't a "you insulted my city so I'm going to insult yours" type of situation. I have no attachments to ATL, If I had it my way the new stadium would be built outside of Atlanta so that I don't have to worry about getting mugged every time I ride the Marta to the dome. But if Guinness called me and asked me to choose a location for the worlds largest gang rape I would surely pick the Super Dome, a proven venue for such an occasion. |
