The main feed into something the size of the superdome, in my estimation, be most likely be considered by most people with any bit of common sense, to be a 'major infrastructure' concerning the dome. An optional piece of equipment added in a remote building is in no way "major infrastructure". The two relays were added recently prior to the Sugar Bowl and are not required at all. They were supposed to be an additional level of security. As for the "local" genius, he or she was an employee of Entergy, which is not a locally based corporation, and the equipment was out of Chicago. Entergy has since stated that the relay that shut down a portion of the power was set at exactly the same calibration as the relay that fed the remainder of the power. They are now refuting the Chicago company's claim that it was human error and was actually a faulty part. So, once again, based upon what was known at the time, I may have been incorrect about the actual cause, although I did come to the same conclusion as did the Chicago company, who by the way, is now possibly at fault. And, the last time I checked, Chicago is not a suburb of New Orleans.

Oh, and I know you were just going off the article and not talking out your ass. You did what anyone would do. You did what I did. You based an opinion on what you had to work with at the time. I just used you as an example of Beef's inconsistency. I love this site and would love to see you contribute an additional $100 to keep it going. The host city of the 2018 Super Bowl will be announced in April of 2014. Sf for 2016 and Houston for 2017. One more year till you have to admit your defeat. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - AsylumGuido - Yesterday 05:04 PM (Yesterday 03:52 PM)Drathdon Wrote: Sf for 2016 and Houston for 2017. Benson and New Orleans have already said they are going "all in" to win the bid for 2018 and have it tied into the year long celebration. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - Drathdon - Yesterday 07:54 PM And with all the new near-billion-dollar stadiums being built, the NFL is going to go with the "super"dome (ask me for the first 3 words that come to mind about that building: Old, Blackout, and Rape)? You are more delusional than I thought. The NFL is all about new stadiums and the money they guarantee to teams (and the league). Ignoring these new builds to go with an old one instead would put no heat on teams like Miami to improve. You're fooling yourself. RE: I knew the Saints were bitter but damn. - phocis850 - Yesterday 09:03 PM Either ATL, Minny, or NY will be hosting in 2018. |
