I go on a workout binge and health kick. CrossFit like 5 days a week and hardcore paleo diet. Then I'll do a bunch of obstacle course races, like tough mudders or firebreathers once it warms up a bit. Because once football season starts, my diet goes to shit and I sit around A LOT.

Plus I work like 60 hours a week. Although I own my business, so I make my own hours.

During the offseason I just switch over to hockey, college b-ball, and baseball.

I have a serious sports addiction and I just can't help it.

Yea I tend to go towards Basketball this time of year, the Hawks have been doing ok the last few years, I'll start watching their games more then maybe watch more Braves games this season. I tend to do that anyway but man this year is bad now the Falcons are out as they lasted a long time, this was a long and great season.

I'm calling BS on this.

Everyone knows that when you own your own business 60 hours a week it not enough time. Big Grin

I'm a wealth manager/financial planner down in Buckhead and I don't have a boss. I have a main partner who owns as much of the firm as I do (1/3rd each) and about 2 dozen other lesser partners who split the last 1/3rd. My partner and I have 6 FT employees. We lease an entire floor of the south tower in Atlanta Financial Center.

I could quit my firm right now and just manage my existing book of clients from my home and live off their residual commissions for the rest of my life if I wanted to. I don't really hunt down new clients anymore. I manage my existing book of clients and I just hire and manage financial planners and make overrides off their business to pay for my overhead so I have a nice place to work out of and can build a good reputation/brand name for my firm.

And to be honest, most of this shit is on auto-pilot. My assistant and office manager can run this whole thing. I just sign the checks, talk on the phone, and go on a bunch of lunch meetings.

This isn't like owning a manufacturing business or a store. 60 hours a week is probably pushing it, actually. I probably put in less than that on average.

I suspect it will be the same this year, I'll spend three months following the Braves real close and then I'll be like meh, fuck these guys. Aside from that the NBA finals and March Madness are really the only other things I have to look forward to when it comes to sports. Life without Football is a dull existence indeed.

I do the same, but I don't make it past opening day. I "like" baseball, but I just don't love it enough to watch multiple games on tv.

I'm the same way. I just go to the next sport. NASCAR is one of my sports. The first NASCAR race is February 16th. So that's only a couple of weeks to wait. So hoping it goes fast since hockey has started back. And then baseball starts.
