This shit is fucking heartbreaking. I've felt empty since that clock hit 00:00. This was worse than 2010 because we shoulda/coulda/woulda won. I'd rather us just get our ass whupped so I can just be angry and break my hand (like I did in 2010) than to be so close and break my heart. I really can't take this shit. And fuck that "it's just a game" shit. I live thru my Falcons. If you can just be a casual fan then whooptydoo for you. But for me this shit is devastating....

I am done with football for this year...Superbowl doesn't even interest me at all....wow 2 brothers coaching.....raw lewis retiring....SO what he has a ring....one more MAN MAN MAN....Throw up! Another 2 weeks of CK being so damn good.....Flacco being Elite without a contract....not for this guy!
I feel your pain too...I don't break hands or things but I will be in a funk for at least a week if not more.....this loss was tough to swallow.

A blow out would have been easier to take in the short term but not the long term. Come July you will much rather be hearing about the Falcons just missing the super bowl than how they got blown out like they didn't even belong.
It definitely sucks, no doubt but it could be far worse. Think about how much worse it would feel if we had lost to Seattle.

Take a couple of weeks off. We'll be here for you to discuss all the great moves we will be making (and we do make them every year) when you get back.
Taken some time off from Sportscenter and NFL Network myself. Only NFL news I want to hear will come through this site. Good or bad, it at least gets some filter here. Thanks for that!

I know people will disagree with me, but I'm thinking right now we will be completely overlooked by the media next season (again). We've already seen us getting called the same ole Falcons, despite leading for 52 minutes of the NFCCG and being 10 yards away from the Super Bowl.
Add to that our schedule will be a nightmare next season with trips to San Francisco and Green Bay, hosting Seattle, New England and Washington, and of course our always difficult division matchups and I thoroughly believe the sports media will again list us as an 8-8 team next season.

When Atlanta's season ends I switch my focus to racing. I haven't watched the Super Bore in years. I have zero interest in football outside of the Falcons.

That was going to be my exact response. People (non-Falcon fans) already talk as if we got blown out. We're going to continue to get written off. I will never bet against us or not pick us to win any game, but maybe next year will be for the best if we go like 10-6 and have to play through like the Ravens/Giants/Packers/Cardinals/Steelers did to get to the Super Bowl. Just a thought.
