RE: Good Season Guys - Beef - 01-20-2013 08:20 PM Releasing Edwards saved several million. And I doubt we re-sign Grimes, which was $10m. The cap goes up a little and were at least $14 million under it before we start subtracting out FA's. RE: Good Season Guys - Jesus - 01-20-2013 08:25 PM One things for sure. The Madden sales will go up in Atlanta this week. Replay time. McClain proved hes a good nickel back and Grimes gets hurt all the time, he's damaged goods. It would be easier dropping him then to pay and him get hurt again.

RE: Good Season Guys - evo - 01-21-2013 09:02 PM If Tony does retire does that mean we save like 7 millions on caps? I swear we signed him a 3 year contract in 2011. I dont agree with "this is the best Falcons team ever". We have many holes to fill in both side of the ball. Offensively: Turner is old, and slow - We need to draft a mid to late round power-RB that can go with Jquizz. TG- If he retires it will be a very sad day for Falcons fan, but on the bright side we can draft and groom a TE like Graham and Gronkowki.. can you imagine what Matt Ryan would do with JJ,RW, and a speedy-TE??? Draft or sign a RG, I have a feeling we're going to slide Konz to center, than draft or sign a RG. Defensively: DE and DE and DE!!! we neeed some pass rush!! the Ray Edwards experiment did not work out, so now TD needs to work his magic this time and bring a much needed DE to our team. But i dont think we're that bad as we make it to be, Yes we do have none after JA55 but i believe if we bring in a Dominating DE whether through draft of FAs, it will make our line a whole lot better. Kroy and Mathews are nice compliment to to JA55 and another dominating DE. DT- Jelly is a no show but he made a few nice plays over the year. I think we can sign him to a cheap contract. Peter and Walker did a nice job, nothing spectacular but not horrible either. Babaneux had a great year, but he's up there in the age, so we need to find a replacement. If we can find a BIG DT to plug up the hole then i think our D will be greatly improve. There was actually some talk about him going back to the Chiefs and having a farewell season with them but he put a quick end to those rumors by saying that he's either playing for the Falcons in 2013 or not playing at all. |
