I think wilson is good, but our disappearing defense sure helped him out. I still don't see the QB vs QB argument at all, neither of them was on the field defending against the other

Bottom line Wilson had better stats because he had to be. Our running game gained about 170 yards and meanwhile Lynch and Turbin didn't do jack.
Also Seattle's secondary is better than ours. Its another thing to account for. We were practically begging Wilson to beat us with his arm while the Seahawks were begging us to beat them with our running game.
Comparing apple to oranges and you know that but you just want to bitch and moan about Matt Ryan.

Have to disagree Most of Wilson throws were over the top of our LBS . Zach Miller was killing our LBS and DBS in coverage. We didnt play safe . Russell Wilson was making throws the entire game. We only rushed 4 for the game hardly blitzed So we had coverage he was just tearing into our zone cause we dont have LBS that can cover plus our safety play outside the Decoud deep ball and Moore run stuff was quite bad..
He was killing us in SEAM routes

it's impossible to cover anyone for 5+ seconds, and we allowed Wilson to do so. Reason why? because we didnt want to flush him out of the pocket.
That was our game plan going into the game. Just let him beat us with his arm.
And if the 49ers thinking of doing the samething this sunday. Nolan will make him pay for it.

Wilson outplayed Ryan for most of the 4th quarter, but not in the final seconds when it mattered.
And the game ended with the ball in Wilson's hands. If it had ended with the ball in Ryan's hands under similar circumstances, we know EXACTLY how it would turn out. Because we watched it, except we left Wilson that 8 seconds to see if he could do the same.
He couldn't.

If Ryan got to play against the soft zone he would have thrown for more yards and TDs than Wilson.
If Wilson had to play against his own defense he would have had far less success.
The defense was the main cause of the near heartbreak, not Ryan and the offense, in fact they saved us from it.

If Wilson was able to take advantage of our soft defensive coverage what does that have to do with Matt Ryan? I never understood this line of reasoning.
The word now is that Colin Kaepernick is great because he beat Rodgers Brees and Brady in the last month. But he doesn't face those QB's, only their defenses and vice versa. It's a lousy measuring stick.
Wilson is a rookie. It is too soon to determine whether he is going to be a great one or not. To put it this way:
Wilson had 8 seconds and 2 time outs. All he had to do was throw over the middle for 20 yards, he had been doing it all game, call time out and set up a field goal. Instead he throws short and out of bounds. His instincts are very raw.
As a rookie Ryan had 8 seconds and no time outs. He threw 20 yards to the sideline to set up a field goal that won the game.
