Family came from Atlanta. Grew up in NC, where it was Washington or Atlanta for proximity. We were always Braves fans, so when I took a love of football (parents not much for sports beyond Braves), it was the Falcons all the way. Became fanatical before long, and being the only real Falcon Fan I knew in Chapel Hill meant lots of trash talk at the sports bars in college. Since I was true to my team, and an anomaly for a sports fan in that my team didn't have a Steel or Star, I became know for my allegiances. I identified with the team, and was eventually identified by my love for them.

Born in Blue Ridge, but really became a fan because of the bunch that let this guy chill on the sideline

I'm sorry I wrote Matt Ryan = Tony Romo in the chat during the game.

I think we all did... I was already in tears before I saw his... then it blew up!

Had to hide out in the man cave for 30 minutes after the game. Cool

I had to go back and try to delete all the crap I posted about Ryan in Twitter and on TATF.

I had to run to work right after the kick. Same thing happened in 1998. I left when Gary Anderson was lining up his no miss chip shot. I turned to my dad and said its over and went to work. I didn't want to turn on the radio to hear the rest. Then I did and he missed. I got to work, I worked at a TV station at the time, and got to watch the feed of the end and OT. Today I waited because I couldn't leave. I couldn't miss it.

I lost it on the replay I watched 3 hours later.

It's gonna be an emotional roller coaster if we do take this to New Orleans and win out!

I fully believe the 9ers lose next week... They are not consistent and the Dome will be rockin....LOUD! It got him in Seattle!

Kap will be crapping his pants and smelling his own farts before he even hears them!

Falcons were the best team in the league in 1980. Today was eerily similar to that Dallas game.

The SF hail mary game was a different year though. We did have a late bomb (but not hail mary) to Alfred Jackson on a 4th down to beat the rams. We handled SF easily that year.

I wasn't around for that but I know the history of it and I told my mom that it was happening again.

I was born in 86 and don't know much about Falcons history before 98 but I became a Falcon fan because of Vick... I didn't pay much attention to football, i was more into basketball then (Miami Heat) until I saw the powerade commercial with him chucking the ball into the stands. I've been a proud Falcon fan since 2001. Never once have I flipped and cheered for another team, even during the 07 season although I do follow the Bengals being that I'm only about 20-25 miles north of Cincy. I'm hoping one day ill get to see a Falcons vs. Bengals superbowl.

I was born at GA Baptist (its Atlanta Medical center now) in 1980 and raised a Falcons fan. Some of my family had season tickets for the Falcons at Fulton County Stadium when I was growing up. I have lived in GA the majority of my life, mostly south of the city. It is a natural thing to be a fan of your hometown team, and probably wouldn't be a fan of the NFL at all if not for the Falcons.
