And my point about the Parcells deal still stands. The Commissioner is trying to help the Saints franchise and other franchises avoid stepping in the same pile of excrement the Dolphins did but in your paranoid world you only see it as the Commissioner being out to get the Saints.

I am in the habit of going to New Orleans once a year to play cards and enjoy some time away from everything else but I think I am done with that. Between the freaking Saints fans and the blatant out in the open racism I experienced there as of late, I just don't enjoy it very much anymore. I'll just stick to Vegas for my card playing going forward despite the fact that the locals in New Orleans play so darn poorly.

I have read "the report" and according to many involved in the actual hearings it did not reflect what was displayed through the actual testimony. "The report" was penned by someone closely associated with the NFL and Roger Goodell and was not a legal document. Sorry about your time in New Orleans, but the Saints fans aren't going anywhere, so enjoy Vegas.

With all this Seahawk hate flowing, I didn't want to make our friends from the swamp feel left out.

We still hate you more. Don't worry.

Try to clean up that pig sty of a dome for us. We just may be coming to visit very soon!

The Superdome makes your little thing look like the circus tent it is. And, yes, you will be visiting for one of your annual regular season losses very soon.

Guess you're going to have to watch us play at least one more week while your team sits on the couch. Worried we're going to party in your house yet?

A federal judge has dismissed Jonathan Vilma's defamation suit against NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, league spokesman Greg Aiello announced via Twitter on Thursday afternoon.

Saints Bounty Scandal

An NFL investigation found the New Orleans Saints operated a bounty system that rewarded 22 to 27 players for hard hits and for injuring opposing players. Profile »

Judge Helen Ginger Berrigan had been holding off ruling on the case while awaiting for Vilma to go through the process of appealing his season-long suspension by the NFL.

Goodell initially said the linebacker was a ring leader in the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal. In announcing its investigation of the bounty program, the league said Vilma offered cash to teammates to injure opponents.

"Even though this matter has been pending only since May of this year, it feels as protracted and painful as the Saints' season itself and calls for closure," Berrigan said, according to WWL Television in New Orleans.

Vilma appealed the suspension issued by Goodell, and the commissioner upheld it. But Goodell recused himself from a second appeal. Former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue stepped in as the appeals officer.

Although Tagliabue said he didn't disagree with Goodell's finding of the facts related to Vilma, he vacated the suspension.

I can't wait for all of those depositions and all that cross examining . . . oh, wait!

I expect they will take the suit to a higher court. Sorry, but it isn't over.

I know it isn't what anyone wants to hear, but I wouldn't rule out Vilma taking defamation suit to a higher court. It's a real possibility.

I can't see Vilma giving up this easily after they already caught Cerullo in so many lies in the appeals hearing.
