Well, I selfishly like them. It breaks up the week.

Frankly, I just love watching NFL Football, and the more games I can watch, the better. Having 8 games at once on Sunday at 1:00 means I miss 7 games, so a game on Thursday means I can watch more. The NFL and NFLPA need to figure out how to make it work for both of them, because I don't want to give it up, frankly.

Yea that schedule is fine. You're making it seem like the Monday after that Thursday night game was when the Packers played but it was 2 Mondays after.

For example they played on the 9th (Sunday)

Then they played 4 days later like everybody else did so it wasn't a disadvantage on Thursday, the 13th

Then they played on Monday, the 24th. Not Monday, the 17th. So they gave them an extra bye week. That's 11 days. Basically each team makes up the short time spent playing on Thursdays by getting a "mini bye week"

As far as injuries, where were they in relation to Thursday night games. Players were no more injured this year than in previous years.

As far as being a football fan and wanting to watch all the games, I can only name 2 or 3 TNF games I didn't enjoy and those came at the end of the season.

And the Falcons v Saints game was a bad game to choose. Not everybody enjoys just a offensively oriented game. I love defensive games and other people do as well. The entertainement factor goes both ways.

But a team shouldn't play a Monday game after playing a Thursday game. That gives them an extra day of rest and preparation.

I like defensive games if they are good games played on both sides of the ball. But a lot of the TNF games were low scoring because of terrible offense, not great defense.

Not all division games are good. Most of the time division games end up being 1-sided or just bad altogether.

It sucks scheduling your holidays around football games as it stands, more games during Thanksgiving would mean more people would be facing the same situation. No thanks. While we are at it, get rid of Thursday football and move it to the weekend. Saturday would be competitive with College ball, or on Friday where it is not hard to imagine most people being able to watch a primetime game if their team is playing.

We all have catered our schedules to games and it is not fun or rewarding; it feels "mandatory" as a fan if you want to be at every game, or at least see them on television. Holiday games put that pressure on you much more than primetime games because holidays are when you want to be with your friends and family the most, and not worry about missing your team play.

I agree totally. I love defensive battles. But I like it because the defense just beats the offense. Not when the offense is just woefully underprepared.

Couldn't agree more!

Can't have it on Fridays because it is rude to have the NFL compete agains High School games and the same for Saturday because you have 20 million schools playing then. Thursday gives you football Thursday - Monday

That Monday night game was Green Bay's worst offensive output of the whole season so that "extra day of rest and preparation" did nothing to help them.

That was also a loss by GB but we all know it was controversial.

The divisional games are also chosen because those games tend to be the ones that are easier to prepare for and MORE OFTEN THAN NOT they are entertaining.

Yes, of course, there are some that are weal but most of them are good games.

I don't give a damn about High School or NCAA football, I care about watching the Falcons play at times that are not inconvenient.

Thursdays suck not only for fans but the teams/players themselves, Holidays suck for watching football because you feel obligated to schedule watching your team around celebrating the holiday, as do most home primetime games because you can't get home until two in the morning.
