They beat you because they played better. Specifically your defense played like they have been playing for the majority of this year. If you can't beat a 7-9 team away, then you don't deserve to be there in the 1st place. That's the approach I would have taken. Don't make excuses. You don't just get over an ass whooping like that, I will remember the Giants playoff game for years to come. I agree but I'm not making excuses. We lost fair and square. No bad calls from the ref that overturned the game. Our offense just didn't come to play and our defense couldn't hold up after a strong start. I have very little doubt the outcome would have been different had the game been played at the home of the team with the better record. You claim this, however you still could not stop beast mode. Can you honestly say that Seattle that year would have still beaten the Saints in New Orleans? Six of their nine loses came on the road. They were clearly a Jeckell and Hyde team. That said, it is still a bad rule. RE: NFL Owners Want To Expand Playoffs? - Aftermath - 12-13-2012 02:42 PM (12-13-2012 02:23 PM)ATLBound Wrote: I agree but I'm not making excuses. That means they only won 5 games at home. They lost 3 games at home. They weren't juggernauts at home. It's possible they could have beat y'all at the SuperDome. Y'all didn't have answer for Hasselback or Lynch. That's a bad combination to have trouble with the QB and the RB. Matter of fact....you should be mad at Roman Harper. He may have had the worst game of his life if I recall correctly. Your making not playing at home your #1 excuse...I mean reason. They won because you guys sucked and got trounced by the worst playoff team in league history. Must suck to be the team that lost to a 7-9 team in the playoffs. At least when we lose in the playoffs that team goes to the Superbowl or wins it. That and the fact that Gregg Williams' defense had begun to run it's course. |
