I think it will come down to brain power. RGIII seems like a pretty smart dude. Vick and Young (Mr. Wonderlic score of 7) are dumb as a box of rocks.

And just a few days after this thread was started, RGIII gets injured. Maybe the field will amswer this question moreso than any discussion we have on here. Ultimately this is what a lot people said in this thread, including myself.

I didn't see the play but did RGIII get hurt running the ball or was he in the pocket?

It came on a play when he scambled out of the pocket. I only saw part of the play so I don't know whether it came on a read option or just a pass play breakdown, but either way, the injury was a fluke. Thankfully for him there seems to be no serious injury to his knee.

Thats the concern. More risks for injuries. Fluky or not...shit like that happens more on this type of offense than it would a traditional offense.

The more you expose yourself to these kinds of hits, fluky or not, the less you will be able to make a real impact in this league.

Exactly. He's not going to last long in the league putting his body in that type of danger. Then again, he's not going to be as successful in this novelty offense without putting his body in that type of danger.
