This is not a media butt hurt...it is meant to be Sarcasm.....I can just imagine the conversations....I couldn't care less where we are in the power Rankings....they are a bit like the AP top 25....
So we drop in power rankings despite having better record....I just think it is funny that EACH TIME the media appoints the new NFC juggernaut.....that team loses.....they are running out of excuses....I think it is humorous to see their reasoning.
Everyone has tough games....NE lost to ARIZONA at the start of the year.....the Texans have clearly been given gifts by beating the Jags and DET (The flag fiasco) we just find ways to win......
Read the post as the joke it is meant to be rather than read it as we are whining about it.....If we can be the first #1 seed to be underestimated week in and week out....I am ok with that as long as it means we win our first trophy in the Saints house....talk about some poetic justice there!!!!!

All QB's should be judged on their record, level of play and their leadership qualities! I have zero tolerance for anyone who judges a QB for any other reason.

The Falcons have earned respect and in some circles they get it. You can harp on our past but if built future considerations on how a team does in the past than we should assume the packers will win every super bowl because they won the first two.
The problem is most pundits don't want to come out and say the falcons are going to win because of the I told you so factor. This way if the falcons lose they can say see I was right. If the falcons win they can call it a feel good story. We are in the same boat as the saints in 09. No one believed in them and Favre was being handed his second Lombardi in November.
What I don't understand is if being 11-1 is considered dysfunctional by some fans what would they make of the Giants who go from blowout of the packers to one point loss to a division rival the next. They don't look playoff ready.

The biggest issue I have with the so called lack of respect isn't that I don't see the Falcons high in power rankings but that I don't see much good news about them except on dedicated sites. It's nice to see them number one on rankings but I would rather have the ability to see good discussion and stories on major football outlets instead of having to listen about Packers, Giants and Niners all the time.

I think with the majority of the media its mostly laziness. Its easy to just look at a few highlights listen to a few others, think about the 1995 Falcons then just regurgitate. Those that look at it in depth usually come up with a different conclusion. Billick would be ine example.
We are getting respect though. I've heard the CBS pregame guys as well as Deion, Irvin and even Faulk say they are believers. Now the ESPN guys - Keyshawn, Berman, Ditka, Tom Jackson and Chris Carter are the absolute worst and by a large margin. They peddle soap opera, probably intentionally but their schtick is highly annoying.
