Bears and 49ers do down in OT - RockHoward - 12-02-2012 05:37 PM

The Falcons are in even better shape to get the #1 seed now.

Go Broncos.

I doubt there will be a chorus of doubt from the talking heads who hate on us.

Kaepernick completely mismanaged the clock during the regulation end game and the talking heads did not discuss it or fault him in any way. They even showed the play where he ridiculously ran out of bounds of his own volition. This is just the latest example of Kaepernick's inexperience costing the 49ers a win. Hopefully it is a harbinger for the playoffs.

Just goes to show you....how many times have we been questioned at our ability to play big over Inferior opponents......

All other teams seem to get a pass.....

Can someone please explain the Kaepernick thing to me.
He is just merely average. There is nothing special about him. Maybe someday he will be Alex Smith good but until then he is nothing more than average. It doesn't matter if he can run. Smith could run too.

Harbaugh is an ex-QB and is used to being the center of attention. With Alex Smith playing so well the center of focus was starting to switch from Harbaugh to Smith. Coach Harbaugh couldn't abide that and so he created a QB controversy in order to put the spotlight back on himself.

Harsh but might be close to the truth. Alex Smith was playing lights out.

I was in NC at my brother's the week after Thanksgiving. He is a TB fan but was born and raised in ATL.

While we were watching the Thursday game he kept on mentioning how tough the 49ers would be for us in the playoffs; specifically, how they are more dangerous with Kapernick and would probably steamroll the playoffs. He said that he was positive the 49ers would beat the Bucs (his team) if they made the playoffs, and the Falcons. He ate some crow a few minutes ago and was not happy about it. Smile

I'm sorry but that's quite possibly the single dumbest thing I've ever read on here, and we have a saints fan and falcon jedi.

Harbaugh is a professional NFL coach getting paid millions of dollars to put the best players in the best position to guide his team to victory. Smith got hurt and Kaepernick had to play, but Harbaugh then thought it was in his team's best interest to keep starting him. Whether or not that was the right move is up for debate, but that's why he did it, plain and simple.

And Alex Smith was playing at an above average level, but he's no Aaron Rodgers.
