In spite of their incredible efforts, the asshole refs still lost all their bets tonight.
Just re-watch that offsides penalty they called on Abe on the Peters interception. Abe didn't fucking move before the snap and he clearly lined up on our side of the line. That was an absolute bullshit made up penalty. That fucking ref should be investigated and fired.
BTW, Brees passing TD record comes to an end.

in some ways this win is satisfying because the d lit it up . however i wish the o could have gotten going... a very uncharacteristic offensive showing . normally sharper than that. that being said the d is rounding into form as is the run game. we need the passing o to regain the momentum from the TB game.

I forgot to add about the refs... why the fuck didn't they blow the whistle for forward progress on that fumble play? Every other day of the week, 100 out of 100 times, that play is blown dead as soon as the ball carrier's forward momentum is stopped/pushed backwards while he has 3+ defenders hanging on him.
That said, why the hell do we continue to use Roddy, Julio, Gonzo, and Quizz to move down the field and then stall trying to get Turner, Snelling, and Douglas involved.
Run Turner on 1st down for 1 yard... screen pass to Snelling for 1 yard... 3rd and 8 lets pass to Douglas 2 yards behind the 1st down line or run another screen to Snelling who gets tackled 2 yards behind the 1st down line. And this is pretty much the same for our redzone plays. What... the... fuck...
Thank God for our defense tonight. Our offensive play calling was the worst of the season tonight by a LOOOOONG shot. Horrible horrible play calling. We cannot continue to march down the field with our 4 real playmakers and then shit the bed on 3 straight plays with Turner, Snelling, and Douglas.
Quizz proved with those last 2 running plays of the game that he must be the guy from this point on.

just goes to prove the naysayers wrong, this TEAM wins....just the the AZ game, the offense was off, the D steps up and covers their back. honestly, a few weeks ago, I was not expecting us to do much, after the win Sunday I expected a win tonight and after tonight I expect us to go far into the playoffs. Flame away at me becoming a doubter, I don't care

Sorry Beef, but it wasn't bad playcalling. The Saints D did a damn good job tonight. Just not good enough to overcome the 5 ints Brees threw.
And as for the ref. He was terrible. BUT, I wonder if it was the same ref that negated the Sproles TD because of the early block that Jimmy Graham did. In any case, I'll take a negated TD over any other penalty any day of the week.
