I would like to see more pro sets (Ryan under center, 2 RB in the backfield side by side) and 2 back sets out of shotgun when Turner is in the game. Let Ryan have the option to audible in these situation, if it looks like the D is going to crash down, run off tackle with one of the backs. In shotgun formation, it would also allow Turner to stay in as a blocker and let the other RB slip out as a hot read.

I get where you are coming from, I think this is what we wanted when having Ewing and Rogers in the back field. Both able to catch both able to pass block also. The way I imagined it is when having Matt under center in pro or back in shotgun that we could have Roddy Gonzo Julio out on routes and depending on the reads 1 or 2 backs running routes or pass blocking it allows for far less precitability here when you can both pass and run at will from the same formation. I really hope next yeat that Ewing comes backl strong and that we pick up another back to replace Turner and between the new back and Jacquizz I know that the predicatibility factor of our offense would drop.

I like the theory of having two RB's on the field at once, as opposed to one RB and one FB, but I think practically speaking you A. don't want to tire them out by having them on the field at the same time every snap, and B. you don't want to risk injuring them by having them in together all the time.

Is Turner capable of playing FB?

So the Falcons ran a feature back system for years and they were told they weren't good enough because they lack a downfield threat. They make a big move to get Julio Jones then catch greif because they don't run the ball enough with a feature back.

Sports media 2008-2011: The Falcons are a run first team, they need to throw the ball downfield!

Sports media 2012: The Falcons go downfield to much, they need to run the ball more!
