Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - Polar Bear Jones - 11-21-2012 11:04 AM After beating USC this week he was just asked on the Dan Patrick show who on the USC team he thought was NFL ready. He replied in typical asshole Mora fashion with "I could'nt give a rats ass about USC" and that his teams focus is on Stanford. While I enjoy how Smitty is fiery at times on the sideline but displays calmness and serenity in interviews. It would be nice to see a little extra something every now and then. RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - Jesus - 11-21-2012 11:20 AM Jim Mora was a shit coach while he was here. Maybe he's, er grown up some, but I don't care. RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - sonnyjim - 11-21-2012 11:27 AM That was a great game. He got shed of the powder blue. No smelling salts. RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - AUTiger7222 - 11-21-2012 03:00 PM I'm not surprised one bit by UCLA's performance this season. RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - Dale4Saul2Red0 - 11-21-2012 03:29 PM UCLA taking over Cali in football, culture shift is going down RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - Aftermath - 11-21-2012 03:38 PM Not really a fan of Mora, thought he was a prety shitty HC, that being said he did at least win a playoff game while he was here so there is that. Mora was a moron, IMO still is. Personally, I couldn't give a rats ass about Mora. RE: Jim Mora earns a little of my respect. - juraitwaluzka - 11-21-2012 04:55 PM Yeah, I wasn't a fan of Mora either. People like to use him though to compare the 2004 playoff win to the losses in 2008, 2010, 2011. To those people I say that it rarely gets mentioned that the 2004 Rams playoff teams was one of the worst playoff teams of all time while the 3 losses came against teams that were a combined 11-1 in those playoffs (3 conference titles, 2 super bowl titles). But if a playoff win is a playoff win and the context doesn't matter, then by all means fire Mike Smith and hire Mora back. I am not a Mora fan but during his tenure here I was more angry with Knapp than him. I thought he under utilized Vicks talents. Knowing now that Vick was half assing it the entire time he was here I probably should not have been that pissed at him. I mean if the guy was'nt going to spend time studying different plays it kind of limits what you can call. Mora's big mouth got old really quick but he seemed to be honest and an open book. Its totally different now "Patriot way". We have had 2 guys in trouble this year and the press conferences were exactly the same. The injured player press conferences are as well. Revis went down in New York and Rex Ryan damn near cried in a press conference. When Grimes went down Smitty was a rock. Got to respect that I think him being so calm kind of showed the confidence he had in the other guys on the defense They have been playing with that added confidence all season.
