Interesting move considering we usually end up holding on to players much much longer than we should ie Jennings, Elam

I don't believe this has anything to do with the loss.

This is to prove a point. Work hard or your out.

Well we paid him $11 million for 1.5 years of mediocre to poor play.

At least we know we have $5 million free'd up for next year already.

Our FA's after this year are:
Antone Smith, RFA
Michael Turner, UFA
Tony Gonzales, UFA
Michael Palmer, RFA
Will Svitek, UFA
Todd McClure, UFA
Vance Walker, UFA
Brent Grimes, UFA
William Moore, UFA
Lawrence Sidbury, UFA
Chris Owens, UFA
Robert McClain, RFA
Drew Davis, UFA
Dominique Franks, UFA
Sam Baker, UFA

Tony's a longshot to come back and his salary is already accounted for if he does. McClure will likely retire and free up even more money. Grimes is likely gone and that will also free up a ton of money. It's possible Turner could be gone as well and there's another big chunk of coin. And nobody else left that I see is getting a huge raise except maybe Willie Mo.

So it looks like we're going to have a bunch of extra money after this year. Like a ton. Upwards of $25+ million.

I see us renegotiating Ryan's contract to long term and giving him a boost and then us still having a bunch for several top tier FA's.

Haven't you missed Willie Mo?

Regardless we got the scrilla to bring guys in and to sign our draft class.

Yeah I fixed it, my bad.

I never liked the guy for the fact he wore his old ugly purple and yellow shoulder pads under his red and black jersey. Fashion faux pas. Dodgy

No homo. But seriously.

Well, apparently coach had his family with him at the time, and when they arrived to their room they were greeted to the sight of big Grady in his undies eating the plate of cookies at the table.

:True Story:

This is the first time I heard the story about why Grady was cut mid season even though he was our best defensive player that year. What an absolute joke! Surprised Grady didn't fly a law suit.

Ok correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it become obvious pretty quickly last year that Ray wasn't gonna be the pass rush guy we thought he would be, but some started proclaiming him better in run support? So how are we against the run? And again I could be wrong, but wasn't Ray the first missed tackle on Ivory's TD run?

secondly, I just read Pay Y's article on this (for what that's worth) and he says this move was done to show perform or risk your job. if that's the case, how is Franks still the PR? and Turner still getting the bulk of the carries?

enquiring minds want to know

Maybe Franks is doing the job they want him to do. Dont make mistakes

And we haven't played the Cardinals yet so maybe Quizz will get a bigger role.

Okay, I don't really know if that's the last time, but Dan Reeves cut the hell out of Juran Bolden after his crappy play in that 1st San Francisco game. And it was a shock at the time because Bolden was considered to have a ton of upside, great speed and ideal size, but he just wasn't getting it done on the field. I'm calling this an omen.

I remembet this very well. Bolden was liked by many folks. No work ethic though. Just relied on his size
