As Burt Reynolds said in King of Queens, "He ran like he was mad at the grass." I wish Turner ran like that. You know who did run like that? The Saints RBs....and they had few holes to work with themselves. In fact, I saw time and time again how they emerged out of a sea of Falcons at the LOS only to pick up 5-7 yards.
This game should have proven to Smith and Koetter that you CANNOT depend on Turner in short yardage situations anymore. The O Line is a big culprit, but when you already have a suspect run blocking line, don't keep giving it to the guy that has proven he can't get it done in short yardage situations. We can't depend on Turner in late and close situations either...and as I have been saying for several games, it was going to catch up with us.
Today, it did.
I just pray that our inability to gain the short yards on 3rd and 4th down doesnt come back to bite us again in the playoffs because today looked an awful lot like our futility on short downs against the Giants.

Turner is pretty much useless, dont know why we keep running him for 1 or 2 yard losses then a 4 yard gain. kick his ass out already.

Guys, yes Turner not getting yards is frustrating, but the guy didn't forget how to run. There is nothing there. Our problems are not just #33.
You guys turn your anger on your own so fast. They don't deserve it. Turner doesn't deserve it.
Can't we be fans of a team and enjoy their successes without calling a player "fat" or "washed-up" when they can't perform the way they want to?
To much negativity from fans lately. You'd think this team going 8-1 killed some people's dogs today.
Eyes on the prize, guys. Lift the team up, Rise Up, and lets keep playing into January with a positive attitude, not negative.
Would it have been worth it to risk Spoon for the year just to win this game (which he could have done, actually)? No. Save him for when it really counts... and if that is the case, save your righteous anger for when it counts too.
If the team knee-jerked as fast as some of you after this first loss, we'd never have gotten to where we are with this team. We're still looking down at everyone else. I trust our coaches to have us firing on all cylinders for January.

I think now is the time to start rotating through our backs. Let turner get some carries in amongst a rotation of other guys. Jacquizz is starting to show that running ability off if hand offs Let Snelling start going forwards and attacking the LOS. I think if we had gone on that first run with him we would have gotten the TD. He is a far more aggressive runner than turner at this point. And for fuck sake, unless the guy has full blown fumbilitis let Antone smith start getting carries too. We have to do this at this point to start getting it going and working now before trying to get it going for the playoffs.

I just don't understand for the life of me, why Antone Smith is not getting any carries? With that being said...the guy doesn't need a huge workload of carries, but aleast make him a part of the offense somehow.
