Why worry so much about media respect? The Falcons are 8-0. That is phenomenal. It is historic. Let's enjoy this ride. I don't worry about what the talking heads say about our team. It all means absolutely nothing.

What matters most is that the Falcons are poised to enter the playoffs with the top seed. That, and nothing else, is what matters. Home field advantage, after a week off, would put our guys in the best position to move towards the Super Bowl.

Criticism of the team is expected. After all, this is the NFL and the Falcons have been doormats for a long, long time. I like all the criticism. I want our players to have a chip on their shoulders. I want the coaching staff to hear about our weaknesses and faults. All of this crap talk does nothing but make us stronger.

So, enjoy the ride. As a fan of the Falcons for forty years, this is bliss.

we don't, but it is nice to have others talk about your team when they are good....it gives us pride....but until we win a playoff game, it doesn't matter.....8-0 doesn't matter...16-0 doesn't matter.....WE GOT TO WIN IN THE SECOND SEASON!!!!

Not just that. It also lets the players get the public attention they deserve when it comes to postseason awards and the pro bowl.
