RE: Midseason Worries aka the "Bitch about shit even though we're winning" Thread - phocis850 - 11-06-2012 01:10 AM My lack of trust in the short yardage game is over 50%. Last year and this year running the rock on short situations is something we are not good at. Safer bet is to kick the fg and require the cowboys to get a TD where they have to use sideline passes. That's my only worry. I must say, it feels great that our OL wasnt mentioned until the 5th post. Used to be #1 on everybody's list. Wish he had at least contributed as a returner (Franks is not cutting it so far.) Of TD's freeagent moves this offseason HD is the only one not contributing. Decoud leads us in interceptions Abe in sacks, Kroy is even contributing. I saw the screen with Julio one on one with D-ware I am like Dirk why not put HD in there. Line him up in the back field and let him go one on one with some LB's. The Run D has shown up the last 2 games but the turnovers have disappeared. Its a little weird because we played 2 turnover machines in Romo and Vick. Touché RE: Midseason Worries aka the "Bitch about shit even though we're winning" Thread - takeitdown - 11-06-2012 04:01 PM OL. I think with better interior line play and solid pass protection, this team can put up 30 almost every week. My concern is matching up against a great DL in the playoffs, and all those weapons mean nothing because 4 guys get to Ryan quickly while 7 guys get to cover only 3 or 4. Were our OL top 10, I'd think the Falcons should be favorites against even the top teams. (Also would really like a back who can consistently run and be a receiving threat out of the backfield, but that's not as imperative as OL) RE: Midseason Worries aka the "Bitch about shit even though we're winning" Thread - DriveHomeSafelyAtlantaWins - 11-07-2012 04:37 AM (11-05-2012 02:31 PM)ChrisD Wrote: Our offensive line is way too "hit or miss". That's my only worry. That's it right there. Right now, we're limping by on the o line. Hopefully, we'll get better. Next year, we need to make some serious investments there. Eagles - 24 CAR, 92 YDS (3.8), 1 TD LeSean McCoy - 16 CAR, 45 YDS (2.8), 1 TD Cowboys - 18 CAR, 65 YDS (3.6), 0 TD Felix Jones - 9 CAR, 39 YDS (4.3), 0 TD Lance Dunbar - 8 CAR, 26 YDS (3.3), 0 TD So I think we've fixed our run D problems. |
