I'll go ahead and state the obvious. As if it wasn't already settled that touchdown pass locked up his roster spot.
I think we have our future #2. I'm sure they will keep Redman there officially this year, but they have to be liking what they see, I know I am. This pre season I've seen Davis make throws that I've never seen JPW make in his entire career and at best Redman hasn't made in quite a while. Hate it for JPW on a personal level, seems like a good guy, but talent is talent.

Davis has a lot of potential. Redman will retire after this year.
Davis can honestly learn a lot from Redman. He knows how to study as a backup and someone who's needed to fill in a few times.
That could help calm Davis down when its needed.
If Davis keeps this up, then I see us drafting a QB later in the draft next year for the practice squad.
JPW will be gone this year and Redman next.

Redman could still play backup in a Mularkey style offense. That means trading him to the Jaguars for a 7th round pick. Git r done TD!
