I love how can infer someone's political affiliation thorough that three paragraph news story. This doesn't mean anything. I've worked in high schools the past five years and with students doing grad speeches and if they do something that the school doesn't like this the only way to punish them is to hold on to this piece of paper. That's all it is. She's already graduated. It's obvious the word offends someone look at the reporters way of introducing it. What schools normally do is withhold it and either give it to her later away from others or send it to her in the mail. The dad is making a big case. It's really nothing. You have to read the speech how it is written.
