RE: Anyone nervous about the ref lockout? - Drathdon - 08-06-2012 07:57 PM No, that is one thing you can be sure of. Rest assured during that two months of training they had, the new refs were taught how to give big-name players like Brady all the calls, just like the old crew. Anyone nervous about the ref lockout? - juraitwaluzka - 08-06-2012 11:35 PM I'm sure they were also given their official NFL contact lenses, guaranteed to reduce their vision by at least 50%. RE: Anyone nervous about the ref lockout? - Peyton - 08-07-2012 10:33 AM I'm not worried about it. The guys they are bringing in are experienced college refs. I don't really see more mistakes during college games than i do during pro games so not worried about it at all. LOL well you know, I think that could be a positive aspect of the replacement officials. The regular guys let certain players get away with stuff, like Revis for example, who commits illigal contact on virtually every pass play of his life. Maybe the new guys won't do that. My only hope is that we will no longer see players with name recognition getting calls no one else does (I'm looking at you Tom Brady). and don't forget the infamous 'there was no holding because it was a screen pass' call last year for another well known rival qb that prevented a safety Anyone nervous about the ref lockout? - juraitwaluzka - 08-07-2012 01:59 PM (08-07-2012 12:37 PM)papachaz Wrote: and don't forget the infamous 'there was no holding because it was a screen pass' call last year for another well known rival qb that prevented a safety Exactly. Good riddance to those dumbasses. Missing a call is one thing but just making shit up should've gotten them fired.
