If there was no sexual molestation over over a dozen young boys at Penn State, why would high-ranking actively conceal these allegations? Because they didn't admit to it, it must not have been true, huh? Because they gave testimony under oath that it didn't happen, it must not have been true, huh? Nobody who is guilty has ever tried to plead innocence right? I'll let Vick, himself, tell you why: "I knew how to lie with a straight face. Sad to say, Commissioner Goodell bought into what I was saying, and I think he truly believed me that I was telling the truth. I deeply regret not telling him the truth from the outset." "It was a very nervous time for me. I knew I was going to try to lie my way through the whole dogfighting case and see if money, good lawyers, and manipulating the system could get me out of the position I was in -- which was a terrible position." Guilty people lie, and try to get enough people to believe them to cast doubt. You're buying into their lies, as they planned. I realize it because he didn't close the jar all the way and he has crumbs on his shirt. I give him the chance to tell the truth when I ask "Did you take a cookie from the cookie jar?" He says "No", and I then point out that I know he did and that he is lying. I tell him "You know you're going to get in more trouble because you lied to me than for stealing the cookie, right?" He says "Yes" "Then why'd you lie?" "I thought I could get away with it?" Lying for the sake of lying always gets you in more trouble. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - FireDawg85 - 07-25-2012 10:31 PM Vilma: Your honor, when I said whoever takes Brett Favre out in the NFC championship game, I meant takes him out on a date. You see, I was seeing if there were anymore Fags on my team because I am in fact a Fag. So you can't punish me by suspending me because you will be gay bashing. I rest my case! RE: Saints Bounty Thread - TeamPlayer1 - 07-26-2012 06:22 PM In today's court proceedings in New Orleans where Vilma is seeking an injunction to allow him to join training camp, the judge said she would wait to hear the NFLPA on August 3rd. The last statement was by Vilma's attorney, Ginsberg.... Even if judge can't rule that Goodell was wrong, he did get it wrong. There has to be some kind of legal remedy... I have no links but I was off today and read tweets and scoured the internet for info. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - JDaveG - 07-26-2012 09:24 PM Here's the Yahoo news story: NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A hearing in federal court for suspended Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has wrapped up without an immediate decision about whether he can temporarily return to work. Vilma is trying to persuade U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan to impose a temporary restraining order while his lawsuit against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell proceeds. Berrigan did not say when she would rule but has expressed an interest in a quick resolution. Vilma, former teammates and New Orleans assistant head coach Joe Vitt testified Thursday that Vilma never put up cash for tackles that injured opponents. Retired Saints Troy Evans and Randall Gay also testified on Vilma's behalf, along with current New Orleans defensive players Roman Harper, Sedrick Ellis, Jonathan Casillas and Scott Shanle. |
