I can understand your hatred of the Saints and your wishes that these far flung accusations were true, but the tables could have been easily turned and it very well could have been the Falcons in this same quandary. All it takes is a couple of individuals with an agenda against your franchise and a headstrong individual looking to find a scapegoat to fend off major mistakes of judgement in the recent past.
If there was no sexual molestation over over a dozen young boys at Penn State, why would high-ranking actively conceal these allegations? Because they didn't admit to it, it must not have been true, huh? Because they gave testimony under oath that it didn't happen, it must not have been true, huh?

My son steals a cookie from the cookie jar. I realize it because he didn't close the jar all the way and he has crumbs on his shirt. I give him the chance to tell the truth when I ask "Did you take a cookie from the cookie jar?"
He says "No", and I then point out that I know he did and that he is lying.
I tell him "You know you're going to get in more trouble because you lied to me than for stealing the cookie, right?"
He says "Yes"
"Then why'd you lie?"
"I thought I could get away with it?"
Lying for the sake of lying always gets you in more trouble.

In today's court proceedings in New Orleans where Vilma is seeking an injunction to allow him to join training camp, the judge said she would wait to hear the NFLPA on August 3rd. The last statement was by Vilma's attorney, Ginsberg.... Even if judge can't rule that Goodell was wrong, he did get it wrong. There has to be some kind of legal remedy...

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- A hearing in federal court for suspended Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has wrapped up without an immediate decision about whether he can temporarily return to work.
Vilma is trying to persuade U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan to impose a temporary restraining order while his lawsuit against NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell proceeds.
Berrigan did not say when she would rule but has expressed an interest in a quick resolution.
Vilma, former teammates and New Orleans assistant head coach Joe Vitt testified Thursday that Vilma never put up cash for tackles that injured opponents.
Retired Saints Troy Evans and Randall Gay also testified on Vilma's behalf, along with current New Orleans defensive players Roman Harper, Sedrick Ellis, Jonathan Casillas and Scott Shanle.
