Plus the fact that Brees won't get his contract until the July 16th deadline. Nope. I'm feeling pretty good about things right now. Everything coming out shows that the Saints were not involved in anything as sinister as the media originally implied. They broke some rules and got caught. I'm not concerned about the arbitration or the suspensions of Vilma and Smith. The defense will still be vastly improved over that which the Saints fielded last year in winning 13 games. The Brees deal will be done anytime now and Lofton and Hawthorne have stepped in as team leaders, along with the Saints veterans on defense. As batshit crazy as you are, when the gobs and gobs of indisputable proof comes out and your team goes 7-9 and misses the playoffs, you might go so nuts I can picture you either eating the hot end of a shotgun or driving to Atlanta and mowing down a daycare with a machine gun. No worries here, Beef.

That is the period of Payton to which I referred. The Saints have won as many divisional crowns as the rest of the division combined. That seems to be fairly dominant to me. The Atlanta Braves winning 14 straight division titles - that is dominance. When any one of 3 teams can pull within 1 in the upcoming season, not dominance. Just like everything else your view is skewed terribly. Have the Saints been the better team overall? Yes, I will give you that but dominance is consistently winning at the top and nobody in this division has done that. Those usually take around 6 weeks to heal, meaning he probably will be ready around the start of training camp. Still, not a good sign for these injuries to be happening this early on. |
