Vilma may get more time suspended and if Payton makes one phone call or communication with any member of the NFL he could face an extended ban. I'll go ahead and address this and take the sail out of Guido's steam. Vilma sued Goodell personally, so he will likely have to hire his own attorney. But since he's a millionaire, he can obviously afford excellent counsel on his own. Take that, guido. Dang, dude! You are sounding batshit crazy yourself right now. I've said before, it might help your tender mental well being to avoid this thread. I really care for you, Beef, and I would hate for you to blow a gasket. Goodell This is totally outside the realm of the league and the CBA. This is an individual suit against another individual. This isn't against the league or any of the owners or any of their high priced lawyers. This is all on Goodell's head. 100% The owners ain't touching this shit. Goodell is out there on his own. This very well could cost Goodell his job. I know y'all hate the Saints so much that you want them persecuted, but realize, this could have been your franchise. Let it play out. By the way Goodell is an NFL employee so he could be defended by the NFL. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - phocis850 - 05-17-2012 09:07 PM Yes. Let it play out. It will be dismissed soon and Vilma will have his "legacy" crushed. The fool is going to be Vilma. Goodell wouldn't have dropped the hammer and named names unless there was proof. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - ATLBound - 05-17-2012 09:24 PM Basically Vilma saw the progress of the first grievance and then immediately afterwards decided to file suit because he isbgrasping straws. He realized that the grievance isn't going as planned so he is trying a different route but this is a last ditch effort or last resort. He basically has nothing to lose by filing this lawsuit so he did it RE: Saints Bounty Thread - JDaveG - 05-17-2012 09:51 PM (05-17-2012 04:57 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: I'm sure both Vilma and his lawyer are well aware of that fact. Perhaps they are not the ones that should be concerned. Yes. Because every lawsuit that is filed is meritorious. And the plaintiffs are always telling the truth. And the plaintiffs always win. Indeed. Probably best for Goodell not to even file an Answer. Either that or you don't know what the hell you're talking about. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - JDaveG - 05-17-2012 09:52 PM (05-17-2012 06:35 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: Have you read the 16 page suit? Just wait until all of this comes out in court. Apparantely he was accused and punished for things he did not do. They are all spelled out in detail in the filing. Indeed. Because everything in every Complaint is always true. Because plaintiffs NEVER file claims they can't prove. Either that or you are delusional. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - JDaveG - 05-17-2012 09:55 PM (05-17-2012 06:43 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: Also, as a lawsuit between individuals it cannot fall under CBA protection. Holy shit, are you serious? Wow, I'm going to go hang a shingle and advertise that if you end up on the wrong end of a CBA dispute, just hire me and I'll sue the person who made the decision individually! Because that always works! But there's not any other lawyer in the country doing it! But it will still work! I'm gonna be rich! Either that or you have no legal training or experience or knowledge and you are just full of shit. I guess the reader will have to figure out which it is. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - AsylumGuido - 05-17-2012 09:59 PM And the drama builds, boys. The drama builds. But, just curious. What if by chance the commissioner of ours was less than honest to help cover his claims of the past? I know you want the Saints crucified, but, if it is as being claimed, an overboard persecution, what would you feel? I'm talking if Goodell was busted over this. What would you feel? |
