The fact that Sean Payton is suspended the whole year and NEVER appealled or fought this decision very hard....as well as Gregg Williams admitting to it....and all the other leadership positions that took their punishment.

It is obvious that Brees must be smoking something....because he seems to have memory loss and the things he says are SO unbelievable....

I am hoping Goodell called the Refs and told them to pull the Katrina Refs.....because Brees needs to go down hard for being an idiot.....LET IT DIE DUDE.....YOUR TEAM CHEATED AND PUT BOUNTIES ON OTHER PLAYERS.....IT WAS CHEAT AND UNSPORTSMAN LIKE AND IT IS A BLEMISH ON YOUR FRANCHISE.....just like our blemish Vick and Dogfighting.....and Petrino and the mess of a season afterwards......

SHUT UP!

I am praying for a nice Falcons win at home tonight......then we can stop talking about the Saints for this year......

Keep hanging onto that, Xanthri, as false as it is. Brees is telling the truth. There never was a bounty program. Sean Payton did everything within his power to fight his suspension, INCLUDING APPEALING, which of course was denied by Goodell. In addition, Gregg Williams never at any point admitted to any bounty program.

Get your facts straight. Or better yet, after tonight, those mistaken thoughts may be all you'll have left to hold onto.

Who cares? What's done is done. If people weren't still caught up on everything, you wouldn't have to listen to Brees talk about it or anyone for that matter. It's not them that can't get over it, it's the general media and public.

It's not going to be over with until all of the truth come out. Mike Cerullo is supposedly being cross-examined for the first time ever today. Albeit, not in a true court of law, but he will be forced to do that during Vilma vs. Goodell.

Why in the world would I do that?

Sorry Guido....I don't buy it.....you don't quietly take a suspension if you are innocent (he appealled and it was denied....so why not do exactly what Vilma and the players did and jump in on that lawsuit........Vilma is still playing?!?! If Payton knew he was innocent both he and williams would have signed onto that lawsuit). I will give you that the proof may be flawed....to say there was no bounty program....PLEASE did Brees pass the blunt to you after he was done!?!??!

and word is (and mind you this is from ESPN) that Gregg Williams is the one who sold out Vilma in the first place (they have even said Gregg Williams likely will not be able to ever get a DC job again in the NFL because none of the players will trust him after what he did).

Let me reiterate that much of this info is from ESPN....and other news sources...

Yup. And Roman Harper said something the other day about how he can't wait until the world gets to know about how strange the dude is.

I didn't get to make this comment in the other thread, so here it is:

Brees needs a plastic surgeon before he needs a piss test.

Payton and Williams have no union and no Collective Bargaining Agreement. That is common knowledge and has been stated by legal analysts for months as the entire reason why they had zero leverage to fight it any further. They can't just "sign" onto a suit between the NFLPA and the NFL anymore than the can "sign" on to a private lawsuit between Vilma and Goodell. Their silence is not an admission of guilt, it is all they have available.

And, no, Gregg Williams was not the instigator. In January of 2010, Coach Brad Childress of the Vikings went to Goodell and claimed that his player, Jimmy Kennedy told him that Anthony Hargrove said there was a bounty on Favre. Both Kennedy and Hargrove have signed statements that none of this happened.

THAT is where it all began. The league subsequently went to Williams who denied that there were any bounties, but did admit to there being a pay for performance program.

The whole issue was then dropped until two years later when Cerullo, who was fired at the end of the 2009 season, came forth in November of 2011 claiming to have proof of a bounty system. What was the proof? We have all seen it. It was several handwritten notes and his personal testimony.

You see, it all hangs on this one guy.

Oh, and this part of your statement couldn't be more true.

You do not quietly take a suspension if you are innocent. Exactly!!! That is why all four players, having a legal leg to stand on, have done everything within their power to fight this since they know they are innocent. There were no bounties and they know it for a fact.
