RE: Saints Bounty Thread - Drathdon - 11-04-2012 08:43 PM Does Jerry own a shares in Abbot Labs? Maybe he should buy some. Owning part of the company that makes Vicodin might help his negotiations.

It's definitely an odd feeling pulling for Vick yet it feels right, at least for today. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - mdrake34 - 11-05-2012 08:20 PM So when Jerry Jones hires Sean Payton to be coach next season, does Brees demand a trade to the cowboys to be re-united with the ass hole who allowed him to break a bunch of passing records, and does jerry jones give up a ridiculous price to get him? I think so. Ummm? You do realize that not only is Payton still under contract, but the voided contract was one that he agreed to, in other words, the money was right. But, a bigger caveat, he is under contract through the end of the Super Bowl and cannot communicate throguh the end of the Super Bowl with anyone but the Saints in negotiations or he risks reinstatement. No, the two assholes you hate so badly will continue to wreak your dreams. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - Aftermath - 11-05-2012 08:35 PM I think that it is telling that a year later Payton still hasn't signed a valid contract. If he was as dead set on staying with the Saints as people think he would have resigned ASAP. Payton signed a contract that was excepted by both the Saints and himself. The only stipulation that the league objected to was that if Mickey Loomis, the GM that is negotiating for the Saints, left it would terminate Payton's contract. In other words, Payton isn't leaving unless Loomis does. I'm pretty sure that Loomis put that in the contract, not Payton. But, they both know their success depends on their having full control. Benson has conceded that to them. Jerry Jones NEVER would. It is a non-issue. They'll most likely replace that clause with something else that will work. Payton is going no where. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - ATLBound - 11-05-2012 09:17 PM There are errors in both sides. To Guido: Its a SLIGHT possibility because of the relationship that Payton has with Jones. Also Payton's kids live in Dallas and going thru a divorce, Im assuming he wants to be near his kids as much as possible. Also being on this suspension he is with them more than usual so this may become a reality. To all who oppose Guido: I'm pretty sure part of his suspension is that he isn't able to talk to the Saints Front Office so contract talks are out of the question at this moment. I coild be wrong on this one. Also Payton has a strong connection with Brees and Loomis. Its verh difficult to let that go along with the success the Saints have had. We can't deny that. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - mdrake34 - 11-05-2012 10:05 PM Guido, you're not listening to me: Payton and Brees to Dallas, Romo to Kansas City. It's going to happen. |
