Even Saints fans think this shctick is lame. You have lost a bit of reality with what is going on with all of this. My take is the prevailing opinion. Yours is the exception. Do you spend much time following recent events? RE: Saints Bounty Thread - AsylumGuido - 10-20-2012 04:03 PM (10-20-2012 03:56 PM)Dale4Saul2Red0 Wrote: ^ DUDE GET A LIFE! I have one. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - Aftermath - 10-20-2012 04:06 PM So what do we expect for Tagliabue and his involvement? is he just an NFL yes man meant to reinforce Goodell's position or will the owners use it as a chance to make things right since Goodell was obviously in the wrong? That is a huge question. It turns out that Tagliabue is acting as a counsel on the Vilma vs. Goodell defamation case and is also act as counsel for the NFL on the NFLPA vs. NFL case. Yet Goodell insured his independence. Let's see how that flies. But, it could give the league an out over this farce. Personally, I don't think that Goodell recused himself from hearing the appeals. I suspect that the owners "recused" him and informed him of who he was to "select" as the Hearing Officer. Tag's has a good reputation. Very good question. If he sides with the NFL will it be "Paul is just a NFL puppet, this whole thing was a farce?" Basically, I'm asking will you respect Tag's ruling either way or will you only recognize his decision if he sides with the players and crucify him if he sides with the NFL? Very good question but we already know the real answer to this one. Lol RE: Saints Bounty Thread - Peyton - 10-20-2012 06:27 PM I think Tagliabue will reduce the suspensions. I kind of get the idea that the NFL is looking for a way to save face here. They've butchered this thing terribly, and I think their final play here is to have Paul T come in and reduce all of the suspensions to a level that guys can live with. The most difficult one to resolve will be Vilma, of course, but I think the other three will be resolved to everyone's satisfaction. RE: Saints Bounty Thread - TeamPlayer1 - 10-20-2012 06:40 PM The NFL must be protecting the snitches on the Saints to encourage other players in the future to come forward. I don't care about the future, if there any current or past players who made statements against Vilma, and he had the harshest penalty, name them now! |
