I never said they couldn't make it through the year without Payton. I said that Payton always maps out significant events for the whole year in advance. You are assuming the remaining staff is a bunch of useless fools. That couldn't be further from the truth. Both Vitt and Spagnuolo have experience as head coaches. Both Carmichael and Aaron Kromer are getting a lot of attention from other teams because they are both fully qualified to be head coaches. Anyone of them is more than qualified and experienced enough to handle anything that arises throughout the year. The aren't going to start crying like a 13 year old girl and pee in their pants. Yes, Payton is a great head coach and one of his best traits is surrounding himself with people that are equally as good at what they do. They will be fine for this year. They have the best offense in the league returning almost totally intact. Their defense, even if Vilma is gone, is greatly improved talent wise with the additions of Lofton, Hawthorne, and Chamberlain at LB. Looking forward to you wearing my sig all next year! Please stop putting words in my "text" I never said they were useless...I said they are not Payton. I don't agree that they are 90% of Payton. Which would mean a dip in production, which would also indicate a dip in record. How far that dips is up in the aire but I think in this instance Payton's absence along with this issue looming over their heads will cause a 3-4 game difference. This takes in all free agent acquistions, the draft, etc. Also please recall your statements or stop lying...one of the two. Here is your exact quote from a post that YOU typed on page 3 "As for 90% of Payton, they have already got a large percentage of him for this year. He has things mapped out for the entire season. If it wasn't for him there is no way these guys could make it through the year at a high level." He mapped out his suspension perfectly. But, aside from that, I think you are just making this up. We can assume this is the case for every coach, but we aren't inside the FO's. No. There was some story that I read a couple of years back or so about how Payton mapped out everything from the start of workouts through the end of the season. It may have even covered post season, but I wouldn't swear. RE: ESPN's Cowherd predicts, 10-6 falcons? - mdrake34 - 05-09-2012 08:43 PM Even this thread has been hijacked. They have already received what I was referring to. And why would there be a dip in production? The offense is run by Brees and Carmichael. I guess they could dip from 41 points down to 38. But I doubt it. The defense has never been influenced by Payton at all. As for the quote you are putting everything on, Payton lays out the blueprint, the outline, the stencil for the season. His staff already knows what to do. If he hadn't been suspended it would have worked the same way.
