And of course Peyton is going to say that's the first time he ever saw that email. But you nor I knows if that's the truth. And guess what, he's a liar. He lied about plenty of things surrounding all this stuff before coming clean. Once a liar, always a liar. You choosing to blindly believe him has less credence than me choosing not to. I have precedent of him being a liar.

And in the end, why the hell would anyone think it's ok to send him a joking email about puting a bounty on anyone??

You can spin the possibilities about that question all you want, but everyone and their mother knows the overwhelmingly logical answer is because Peyton is ok with and familiar with discussions about offering money on opposing players.

If you don't know WTF a bounty is, how are you even supposed to understand what "I put $5000 on Rogers with Greg." means?? That's a tremendously ambiguous statement if you're sending it to someone who has no idea what putting money on a player is supposed to mean.

So whether Peyton even saw that email or not, it's obvious he had to be familiar with the verbage and understand it, otherwise it makes no sense he would even receive it. In other words, he knew exactly what it meant.

The appeal process will be a farce and a formality. The player will appeal, Goodell will turn it down and then on come the suits. All of us know why this is all going on. It isn't because the Saints are evil. It is because of the 1000 plus lawsuits against the NFL. This was all a publicity ploy on Goodell's part to serve as a convoluted defense against the fact that they ignored and denied warnings of the dangers of concussions for years. The argument for malice is there.
