After White’s remarks, he retorted Thursday afternoon and questioned White’s claims in comments to Pro Player Insiders. Bwahahahahaha...that's the response I was hoping for. More delusions. Now not only is Goodell farcing, Mary Jo White is as well. Of course she would forego her reputation for the NFL. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - ATLBound - 05-03-2012 08:44 PM I have come to the conclusion that Guido is Roger Clemens RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - AsylumGuido - 05-03-2012 09:47 PM (05-03-2012 08:26 PM)Beef Wrote: Of course he's going to say it was a joke. When my 12 year old says something nasty to my 9 year old and I call her out on it, guess what she says... I was just joking. It's the lame fucking excuse everyone uses when they're trying to downplay the severity of something they did wrong. Even children know how to use that bullshit. I never said it was ok to send an email with a joke about a bounty, fake or not. But, Ornstein is not the one being punished for this. Just because he sent an email with that in it you think it incriminates those with no direct relationship? As for the meaning of the language, if you remember your facts, an unnamed person accused the Saints of having a bounty on Favre in the 2010 playoff game. According to the league, they investigated and the person reneged on his claim. No evidence of any bounty was found. Then, just before the Detroit playoff game in 2012, another source, believed to be another fired ex-Saints employee, brought the claim back to light. Two full years without any investigation. The league told Benson about the claim. Benson went to Payton (<--- correct spelling, by the way, not Peyton) and Loomis and told them what he was told. Payton said he went to Williams before the Detroit game and told him that he wanted nothing inappropriate going on. Now, the email from Ornstein came during the summer of 2011 before the first game against the Packers. Ornstein was serving time for fraud charges of some sort. He probably knew about the unfounded charges from the previous year about a bounty and jokingly said he put one on Rodgers. That means nothing. I can say I robbed a bank, but if I never truly did it didn't happen. A statement from a convicted felon in an email that was supposedly never read is ironclad proof that players paid and received money for intentionally injuring other players? Get real. That wouldn't fly in any court in the world. But, throw courts out. If it was the Falcons involved would this be enough to convince you that it happened? Honestly? If you say yes I know you are lying. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - AsylumGuido - 05-03-2012 09:54 PM (05-03-2012 08:40 PM)ATLBound Wrote: Bwahahahahaha...that's the response I was hoping for. Mary Jo can easily take her check from the NFL and make a statement that she felt the evidence was there. But, she is not a judge. She isn't even a prosecutor anymore. She is simply a lawyer that gets paid to do what she's wanted to do. She is no different than any other lawyer in the employ of the NFL, NFLPA, IBM, GM or any other major corporation. She is not an unbiased third party. She is an employee of the NFL. What do you expect her to say? Yet, the NFLPA lawyers supposedly saw all the same evidence and claim there is nothing there. No PROOF either way. No delusion. If you can't see that then you are the one suffering from an altered mind state. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - TeamPlayer1 - 05-03-2012 09:57 PM The NFLPA can have 500 lawyers and it doesn't matter. This is just posturing. The only appeal according to the players' signed contract and the CBA just negotiated give Roger Goodell the ultimate authoritiy to decide any player or coach punishment and in the signed contracts they agree that the only appeal is to the Commissioner. As Payton found out, good luck with that! Geaux Goodell! Payton isn't in a union. All the players union has to do is imply malice, defamation or fraud on the part of Goodell or the NFL and they can bring suit. It can drag out for years. And, as long as there is ongoing litigation suspensions would be on hold. The appeal process will be a farce and a formality. The player will appeal, Goodell will turn it down and then on come the suits. All of us know why this is all going on. It isn't because the Saints are evil. It is because of the 1000 plus lawsuits against the NFL. This was all a publicity ploy on Goodell's part to serve as a convoluted defense against the fact that they ignored and denied warnings of the dangers of concussions for years. The argument for malice is there. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - JDaveG - 05-03-2012 10:17 PM (05-03-2012 07:44 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: I already addressed the email. It was from Mike Ornstein, a slimeball that has been characterized as being so cheap he wouldn't come up with a quarter to help you buy a Coke. So wait -- this disreputable slimeball is not to be believed when he sends an e-mail that CLEARLY says he's in for $5000 on Rodgers, but he IS to be believed when he says "oh, it was a joke?" Really, dude? You're just not living in reality. You refuse to believe what is right in front of all our faces. And by the way, the reason this may be the "only" e-mail in 18,000 other e-mails or whatever is really simple. Even a crappy, slimeball dirty team like the Saints aren't typically stupid enough to put their wrongful acts IN WRITING. Too bad this guy did and Payton wasn't sharp enough to get rid of it. And by "too bad," I mean "too bad for you." RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - TeamPlayer1 - 05-03-2012 10:25 PM (05-03-2012 10:06 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: Payton isn't in a union. Goodell has a signed statement from Hargrove concerning the bounty program plus Greg Williams statement saying there was a bounty program funded by some players. Goodell only punished 2 current players and let the other players involved off the hook. If he punished all current defensive players who were there during GW's tenure maybe you would have a malice case. Goodell said the the NFL has good lawyers, too! Geaux Goodell!
