Logical or not, he still has an opinion. Wrong one though. I hope this keeps stretching out. And if it get appealed then just wait till the report is given to the players who were targeted. To intend to injure someone is a criminal offense. This would get very interesting for sure. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - Drathdon - 05-04-2012 08:18 PM Longer this is drawn out, the more it hurts the Aints. I'm so glad they appealed. But, what if said report is nothing more than what has already been released? But, you and I both know there is no way it becomes criminal. I have come to know you a bit and I know that you have reason and as much as you love your team you are not overly biased against the Saints. You know I put up with tons of crap on this forum. I remain because of the fair treatment from you and your mods. This is an excellent site and I hope to be around here as long as I keep doing this. Seriously, I would love to hear input from others in the forum other than the tight circle of those that can't step back to be objective. In respect for your/our site, I have not started another thread on the subject. Can we have some input from the less "vocal" part of the community in a separate thread perhaps? Yet another sweep over the Falcons will prove that.
RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - ATLBound - 05-04-2012 08:45 PM I think some of us that aren't mods are actually looking at the reason. We disagree but it's not because I'm biased. When the report came out about Mickey Loomis and the audio in his skybox I figured it was just bullshit. I can guarantee you that for me it has nothing to do with the Saints. Does it make it sweeter? Oh abso-fucking-lutely...but that is not at all feeding into my reasons. The information is the sole reason for that RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - TeamPlayer1 - 05-04-2012 09:10 PM (05-04-2012 08:36 PM)AsylumGuido Wrote: Not hurting the Saints at all. Yet another sweep over the Falcons will prove that. You had better hope the aints sweep the Falcons this year because if they don't I will post in every thread you have about the fact your team is vicious cheaters and call you out each day. It is the least the aints and their fans deserve. They got off easy. Vilma Suspended 1 year - juraitwaluzka - 05-04-2012 09:26 PM The truth really is irrelevant here, no minds will be changed. It would be easier to convince the Pope that he is a Jew. This is like arguing with people that are convinced we didn't go to the moon or that Cheney flew the plane into the Pentagon via remote control. Personally I don't have much problem with the opinion itself, as ridiculous as it is. It's on par with the greatest conspiracy theories blinded with emotion. However the constant stating of that opinion as if it is fact if fucking annoying as hell and is the sign of a coward and a weak mind. A real man has no problem admitting he might be wrong, but Guido thinks he owns the patent on the truth and is apparently above such things. In the end none of us knows the truth and to claim otherwise is as arrogant as it is imbecilic. My opinion is that if the exact same circumstances were happening with the Falcons instead of the saints Guido would be singing an entirely different tune, which is about as telling as it gets. In the end, I hope that Guido is right. I hope it is all fabricated. Thats what I have taken from this thread because that means the saints got punished unjustly and that is an even better outcome. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - phocis850 - 05-04-2012 09:32 PM I'm just saying that your a stretching. Just like we all did with Vick. You are trying to focus the blame on Goodell now and he is a smart enough man not to do something like this when he just signed his HUGE contract. The guy is not a dummy. Also, we haven't seen the report. Everything on both sides is speculation. However, we can speculate that Goodell saw something and laid the law down on the issue. The only thing going for the Saints is that the NFLPA is appealing the ruling because of the terms of the CBA and nothing more. So, if that happens, then it means the actions taken by the players didn't matter unless the NFLPA delivers a blow. If they are to do nothing then watch the individual lawsuits start rolling in. And I'm not kidding about it being criminal. Whether on the field or off, if someone is paid to force an injury on someone then it is against the law. The NFL or NFLPA cannot protect against that EXCEPT by showing their own punishment to the players. This is gonna be going on all year. I suggest you just take it slow and not try and refute everything, it's just not possible. Blaming a crack head for the actions of the team is not the answer you need to provide. RE: Vilma Suspended 1 year - juraitwaluzka - 05-04-2012 10:19 PM My reaction when the Vick thing came to light was "you stupid piece of shit", it was stupid to be doing that stuff, even worse to be arrogant and dumb enough to get caught. If what was going on with the saints was happening with the Falcons I would be of the same mind set. I would be livid that there were morons in the organization that would be stupid enough to do something like this, and that they should all be fired. You can't hear a chin being touched or fingers rubbing together. Even if you could, that doesn't mean a bounty existed. He could have been saying, "Earn your pay." This isn't a court case. That guy isn't going to lie for shits and giggles. You don't have to have a lawyer and forensic evidence to connect the dots here. |
