RE: Holy Shit Saints - phocis850 - 04-24-2012 02:14 PM It's typical response to defend for your team. All the shit hasn't hit the fan yet. This reminds me of the Tiger Woods sex scandal. One comes out, then later on 50 do
RE: Holy Shit Saints - RFlagg - 04-24-2012 02:18 PM State police, FBI probe Saints wiretap allegations Quote:A joint Louisiana state police and FBI task force is investigating allegations that the New Orleans Saints set up general manager Mickey Loomis' booth in the Superdome so he could listen in on opposing coaches. RE: Holy Shit Saints - swanlee - 04-24-2012 02:27 PM Yep it is just getting started for N.O. Don't expect it to stop now, true or not the media is going to keep digging up nuggets of crap that the Saints are going to have to deal with. 2007 Vick Water bottle incident Vick has issue with fishing license All hell breaks loose with the dog scandal Petrino quits on the team This stuff is rarely just a single incident that is forgotten about, Vicodin, Bounty, Wire taps etc. Expect some more stuff to come out and the Saints Franchise to be further humiliated. I've actually litigated libel and slander claims. I know what it takes to prove one. Against a media figure, it's nearly impossible. RE: Holy Shit Saints - swanlee - 04-24-2012 02:30 PM Yeah any dumbass Saints fan that thinks ESPN is going to get sued is in serious denial. These claims are valid enough to have been brought to the attention of State and federal government and there is no way ESPN is going to lose a lawsuit over this. So quickly does the Saints fan turn against ESPN since there kissed your cheating teams butt for so many years. Edmonson said that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents will allow State Police to work with them to determine if there has been a violation. Don't forget that Louisiana's civil law is based upon Napoleonic Code and is vastly different than that from the other 49 states. I would trust someone who has legal expertise in this unique state. It was brought to their attention to see IF there was any validity, not because there was validity. Big difference. And don't count anything out in Louisiana courts. Civil laws are much different than where you live. Regardless of what you here on ESPN Loomis remains one of the most respected GM's in the league. Go back and read what I wrote again because you clearly misunderstood it. What I said was you should try to put as much distance between your team and Loomis as possible. I really don't know how to make it any clearer than that. And as far as suing ESPN, well that's just crazy talk. |
