And you expect us to believe "you know how the media works" after doing that? Vick's deal was a much, much bigger story. It got the animal rights people involved, it got the NAACP involved, and it ignited a racial rift across the nation. The trial and all that was involved kept it not only relevant, but front page news for well over a year. The Saints issue has already taken a back seat and will less and less relevant as time passes. It is only being mentioned right now because of the appeals, the naming of the interim coach and the awaiting word on the players. Watch your evening news if you don't believe me. As you know I visit forums all across the league. Two weeks ago this was a major topic on all of those boards. Now it is only being discussed on Falcons, Saints and 49ers boards, and not that much on Niners boards. And calling it a scandal of epic proportions is downright silly. RE: Before final game, Gregg Williams urged Saints to injure 49ers - Beef - 04-10-2012 04:47 PM You're minimizing like a mofo, dude. Again, the biased homer is clouding your sense of reality. And I'm assuming you meant Rams and not 49'ers. A coach has likely been banned for life from the sport. A head coach is going to lose $6M in salary and miss a year and will eventually come back and ignite this entire thing again when he does. The player's punishment hasn't even been announced and it could totally jack up the depth and quality of play for the team depending on it's severity. When the players come back, it's a story. When Loomis comes back, it's a story. If the Saints win a lot, it's a story. If they lose a lot, it's a story. If they are average, it's a story. Every time there's an illegal hit and a fine, it's a story and bounties will be brought up. When the class-action lawsuit goes to trial, bounties will be a big part of the story. And when the league has to pay a couple Billion dollars to settle the suit, it's going to be part of the story. This is going to go on for years, Guido. You're being so foolishly naive. The Rams forum that I frequent has a thread on the topic that is not on the front page and hasn't been posted to in three days. And I am by no means naive. Sure those events will be stories, but how big of a story will they be? Will they survive past the single article? Will anyone even care by then? Your homeristic hatred for the Saints is clouding your judgement. You declared early on that the Saints would be totally bogged down in the quagmire. You have said that players would not want to play for the Saints. The fact is that there is no quagmire and the Saints have done quite well in free agency, thank you very much. Is it painful for you? Do I sense denial? Perhaps some anger? Look how long Mike Vick was talked about. To put this in perspective, Mike Vick is STILL being talked about. That's the guy you want running things? This story will only get bigger. With the SB in NO, you've seen nothing yet. Your players are going to regret going to work soon, and it will show on the field no matter how big a game they, and you, talk. Congrats again on beating Cancer. I like you. Just hate your team.

And the story can only get bigger when it moves to other teams that have been doing the same things. And the players know they have the product to win it all again and will come out balling. I can't wait. Wow, with Payton out all season the aints should score 100 points per game and roll into the Super Bowl as 70 point favorites! How this season plays out will be very interesting.
