Yeah. It seems one minute you're saying a development will work out in the Saints favor, then when it doesn't work out you say at least it didn't get worse and everyone knew it wasn't going to change for the better, all the while you try to shift blame to Williams and make pot shots at Goodell. What's even worse is that you refuse to acknowledge that losing your head coach for the season won't have a major impact and act like there's a precedent to go by that makes it a certainty that it will turn out okay. No, the worst is that you think this is no big deal and that this was just going to blow over in a week or two.

I have been saying this the whole time...even going as far as to either make a sig bet or almost make one in regards to the story blowing over in a few years. Crazy talk!

Denial - check
Anger - check
Bargaining - check

Eventually we'll see Depression. Probably when the Saints are 1-5 and he realizes all this really did have an effect on the team.

It actually did change for the better. It allowed for the good possibility of moving back into the 2nd round next year. I'm sorry that I am an optimist. Losing Payton will definitely hurt, but it is by no means a death knell. The Saints are returning the best offense in the NFL and there is no reason that the defense shouldn't be improved over last year's sorry bunch.

Vegas odds makers are not stupid. As of today they have the Saints at 10-1 to win the 2013 Super Bowl. That's the 6th best odds in the league and far and away the best in the NFC South. Atlanta is at 18-1.

Whatever happened happened and now it's time for the Saints to move on. Yes, it will affect the Saints to some degree, but it shouldn't cripple them. They will still be among the elite teams in the league.

Atlanta is 18-1? Time for me to make a call, and some money!

Just so you know, about this time in 2011, Vegas odds makers had the NYG at 30-1 ( tied for 12th) to win the SB and the Colts at 6-1 (1st), and we all know how them apples fell.

Vegas isn't always right... or even close.

But you keep on bargaining and rationalizing away your pain. We understand.

And now we see Parcells likely won't be the Saints coach this season. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7795099/bill-parcells-unlikely-coach-new-orleans-saints-sources-say

So much for that "improvement". Who's gonna be the head man now? The Saints have five and a half days to figure that out.

They are most likely going to handle the same way they did last year when Payton was out. Carmichael, Kromer and Vitt handled things. My guess is that it will be Carmichael and Kromer until Vitt returns in week seven or eight. While there were positives with Parcells taking over, there were also negatives. Keeping it in house will most likely result in the smoothest transition possible, but a little extra work for the existing coaches.

We'll probably hear final word on that very soon.

You greatly overestimate my pain. I learned a long time ago to roll with the punches and as a recent cancer survivor I have learned to always be positive and optimistic in the way I look at things.

Except the one main problem that Sean Payton was coming up with the offensive game plans even when he was "out". Why is that no one ever seems to remember this little tidbit from last season?
