obligatory Asante Samuel thread - pauliwood - 03-25-2012 11:53 PM ![]() TD did say that trades were a part of free agency, or at least what he would consider what we do, and how active we are in regards to free agency. I know it seems that for the last two years there has been talk about Asante amongst Falcon fans. What do we think? On one hand, it makes depth at corner no longer an issue. On the other hand what (or who) would we have to give Philly? I would HATE to see Vick to White 2.0! I know I know, Roddy for Asante would be like getting fucked in the ass with a baseball bat wrapped in sand paper for us, but Philly isn't gonna want to fuck either so they might expect a decent player in return. Obviously We wont move White, Jones, Turner ,or Ryan, but one would think aside from that core the Falcons might deal somebody we all like. Realistically, what do you guy think would be a good trade for Samuel, or do you even want him at all? RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - TonyGraziani - 03-26-2012 01:43 AM I'm 85% certain he'll end up being traded for just a pick wherever he goes, but if I had to name a player I would say the Beerman. The Wide-9 is predicated on quick DEs who don't give a fuck about stopping the run. I think he would excel in that scheme. RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - TonyGraziani - 03-26-2012 01:43 AM But I personally would trade our 3rd for him. RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - pauliwood - 03-26-2012 01:57 PM Topshelf posts Tony, Bierman would do well in that system. I want to take Boykin with our 3rd, but I would be cool with sending it to Philly to fill the same hole. Good god that would make draft day boring. RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - illmusic - 03-26-2012 02:00 PM that would be an insanely large amount of money tied into one position... I would love for us to get Boykin(went to HS with him) but dear god please not another 3rd Round CB
RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - pauliwood - 04-25-2012 10:42 PM A lot changes in a month huh? Nicely done TD! RE: obligatory Asante Samuel thread - Jayhawk-Falcon2012 - 04-26-2012 12:22 AM Wasn't the point of getting Asante giving up a low round pick??? I didn't think the trade involved any players or higher tier draft picks.
