Flashing your tits for plastic beads does not count as "employment".

Flashing your tits for beads are what out-of-towners do. The residents are the ones selling them the beads, serving them the beer, and cooking them the food. The residents are the ones that are changing the sheets on their beds, cleaning the streets the next morning, and serving their chicory coffee and biegnets.

The people of New Orleans are as hardworking, if not harder working, than any other city in the country.

No. Hurricane Andrew nailed the Miami area in 1992 but did they portray themselves as victims year after year? No. When Ivan in 2004 and Dennis in 2005 hit the Pensacola area did they continue to portray themselves as victims? No they got off their butts and went to work.

Katrina was in 2005 and here it is 2012 and still the New Orleans residents refer to themselves as "victims". They had FEMA trailers until when? 2011? Get off your lazy tail's, go to work and make a difference. Forget these hands stretched out to the federal government and saying "Help me! Help me"!

I'm amazed at those people who have little to no knowledge of the situation and yet feel like they are experts. Did you lose everything in Katrina? Have lost everything EVER? Did you spend time down there or the surrounding areas rebuilding or recovering? Do you realize the same problems existed in areas outside New Orleans? Do you realize that in south Florida people lived in temporary housing for up to 10 years? Do you realize that in every other case you listed once the hurricane passed they could start to rebuild but in New Orleans and many surrounding areas the problem was getting worse in the days after the storm passed? That in some places it was MONTHS before people were even allowed back to their houses?

And then this whole "New Orleans is just a bunch of lazy people" crap. I don't know why I bother when this far after the fact people still want to hold on to their preconceived notions that all of New Orleans is a bunch of hands-out "gimme my money" types when the overwhelmingly vast majority of people affected by Katrina are nothing of the sort.

No matter how upset anybody may ne we are talking about sports folks. The hurricane is a whole different ballgame. I live in Charleston amd was a part of Hurrican Hugo so I understand overwhelming hurricanes, but I wasn't in N.O. so I will not even try to comprehend what they are going thru. Let's just stick to football folks.

As a matter of fact I do have knowlege of the situation in New Orleans and yes I did lose a home and everything with it in Pensacola, Ivan, 2004. Since it was a waterfront home it had to be demolished.

I've visited friends in the area the last 4 years and the beaches and homes look like nothing ever happened. All due to the residents' hard work.

You can google the huge number of fraudulent insurance and FEMA claims made by the residents of New Orleans and look at the destruction still on display.

You don't know anything about me, boy.

I'm sure he knows nothing about you, but he does know about New Orleans and what happened there was far different than what happen to you. I am truly sorry for your loss, but if you choose to belittle the people of my state in their troubles it is hard for me to pity you.

I really do not care for you and your ilk and want no pity from you or anyone else. I lived in your state for a couple of years and once you get past the food and the French Quarter there is not much left to see. I lived on St Charles in the north part of the Garden District and a restaurant I enjoyed was Corinne Dunbar's, just a brass plaque beside the door and the house number.

However most of the locals were scumbags who deserved to be arrested except their relatives were on the police department. I will never have any sympathy for anyone who lives in New Orleans and is a taints fan.

That's your prerogative. Have a good life and let us PLEASE just move on to football and leave these personal issues behind.
