i think these are the types of players he's talking about. as for Grimes. if the Falcons hadn't taken a chance on him, where would he be?? i'm not advocating he should give a 'hometown discount' at all. I saw a player this year who, in a contract year, didn't exactly play as well as we are used to seeing. how many INTS did he miss this year that we were used to seeing him make???? could be at his age, he's already started to decline.
throw in the knee, the 'missed' playoff game....i dont' think he's gonna get the kind of money he's allegedly expecting, there are some other pretty well known FA corners this year. we may see last years 'snelling' scenario all over again

lol @ this shit...so since the falcons drafted Ryan and gave him a platform to get his stupid gillette commercials and array of endorsements, he owes the falcons? The falcons took a chance, paid the man peanuts, and he turned out to be a pro bowl CB...i don't see how ya can say it's wrong for him to want to compensate for years past. He deserves big time money, people are in here talking like he hasn't been a top 5 corner in our system. Before someone brings up the graham TD, go watch ted ginn make Revis look stupid, or Cruz cook Aso...every corner gets beat. Players like grimes keep it to a minimum. I want him to stay a falcon, but can COMPLETELY understand him wanting to get the top dollar as a top player.

So here we have it. The lets trash a guy so we feel better if he leaves through freeagency thread. Just incase we should start a Lofton is not a down 3 down linebacker and the there are plenty of guys in the draft/freeagency that could play the slot better than Harry Douglas threads. Its business. Sometimes the teams get over sometimes the players getover and sometimes there are those perfect moments when they are even.
If he stays for the right price cool. If he goes then all I can say is thanks for the memories.

I haven't heard much that wasn't accurate. He now has a slight concern with his knee since his biggest strength is leaping and he's a little too small to play in the league without that ability. It rubs people the wrong way when you sit out in the playoffs though. Especially when Snelling finished the game with a broken jaw.

Say what you want about the knee and/or play-off game, but the dude had a great year. He allowed a league low 42% of passes thrown his way to be completed, and was Top 10 in QB rating allowed on passes thrown his way. There wasn't a better CB in the NFC this year.
