Stats aren't awesome. My eyeballs are though. Alex Smith is a much better QB than he's ever been before, and it's not even remotely close. Passing yards, 1 more TD = me not giving a shit. He's better, plain and simple, and that's all because of coaching.

He looked great yesterday making plays throwing deep to win. That's how you win your first playoff game. Not standing scared in the pocket Mr Ryan. Did you see that TD run?

i think the best example of this was the winning touchdown pass to vernon... that shit was ballsy. NOW GRANTID this was against the highly touted saints defense but that dude was placing the ball perfectly against them. "when it counted" that is.

I don't see how it could possibly be well thought out. He was the only guy we interviewed. You at least want to have a control sample. We can say with accuracy though that Koetter was infinitely better than anyone else that we interviewed.
My concern is that in actuality it is Smith who the game has passed by, he is the one who always says he believes running the ball is the key to winning. The good thing about that is that we won't have to wonder about that too long, the truth should become fairly clear next season.
