I liked the conference and thought it was a great idea to do this. They got ahead of all the local media who might try and stir some crap up if the Front office was trying to hide after the playoff loss.

Plus how often do teams have a conference like this where they were horribly disappointed and sorry to the fans after a 10-6 season with a playoff birth.

One thing I wish some of the fans on the other site would realize is these guys are NOT stupid, they obviously see the same things we do. anything we bring up on a message board they have already dissected a bunch of times. They are paid to run these teams. Thing is not everyone can win, I bet 99% of the NFL is really and honestly trying to win and do good but there are only a certain number of teams and games. The whole league can't be .%500 even though it is a technical possibility.

Over half the teams in the NFL have NEVER won a Super Bowl, 4 teams have never gotten tot he Super Bowl. It should be each teams goal to win a SB every year but only 1 is going to win it.

Not winning a superbowl does not invalidate the enjoyment I've had as a Falcons fan. I hope we get one and I'm glad our Front office is competent but this is my team and I can't jump ship. I was born in the ATL and lived here my whole life so even when we suck I have been a fan.

That really was. We have to take into account that Arthur has been a well mannered and well measured public speaker. He never comes across as emotional nor out of control. That particular comment is a strong indication that he is very unhappy with the team's performance. Behind closed doors, I feel certain that he is taking TD and MS to the wood shed.
