Can anything else go wrong for me? you tell me.. - skerfalcon8733 - 09-24-2010 09:09 AM For those of you that don't know me, I am a Falcons fan hangin out in the midwest... I'm 22 and on saturday I have a chance to go pro in soccer... (yes I know most people probably hate soccer, but thats besides the point..) The past two weeks have been marred by the most random strokes of bad luck a person could have.. I'm a goalkeeper so my hands are rather important to me.. 2 weeks ago while at work I managed to slice my middle finger to the bone, it required 12 stitches, the following day while coaching my goalkeepers at my alma-mater I tore all the skin off of my left hip while demonstrating how to slide through a ball for a drill.. my hip healed up and 4 days later i ripped the scab off again while doing a dive and it got infected which led me to later believe that I had a sports hernia... Luckily for me, it turned out to be my lymph nodes on hyper drive in my groin trying to get rid of the infection... problem solved.. but wait there is more... last thursday while going to go coach my u11's-u15s i decided that it would be a good idea to punt the balls over the fence so i dint have to try and carry 5 of them in my hands... as i went to kick I pulled a full Charlie Brown and Lucy and sent my feet flying... luckily I had my backpack on and saved my head from the concrete, however i tore all the skin from my elbow and forearm as i landed and my soccer cleat went into my back causing my lower back muscles to go into a spasm... I received 3 massages, and the past week has been nonstop treatment on my back to fix the muscles that have just now... gone back to about 95%... alright sweet.. bad luck over... but wait... one last thing.. an innocent spider-bite on my chest... turned into a infection causing my chest to swell up to the point that i said hey it looks like i'm a 13 year old girl who needs a training bra bc my nipple had become triangular in shape... Last night at 10pm I finally went to the doctor and he sent me to the ER to have an infection cut out of my chest... now i have a 2 inch gash across the top of my left nipple.. but finally everything seems to have cleared up for me... Tomorrow is a huge day for me, i figured 2 weeks of bad luck should equal 1 day of pure magic on the soccer field.... Karma is trying to kill me... shes such a bitch... I was laughing. I have a friend that get's injured every 30 minutes. I don't know why, but every 30 minutes there is an ouch coming from his mouth. Don't let that Saints voodoo get to you. BTW, Keepers>>> all other positions. My daughter plays the keeper position for her varsity team. Keepers rule. I think its funny in a sense but I need it to go away NOW!!! GO ATL, I'll be the only falcons fan in Nebraska screamin at the tv come sunday night!! RISE UP PS Birds of Prey.... EPIC! I think id look good in one.. That's awesome about your daughter, its the only position I've ever known. Played it in hockey as well. I'm knocking on the door now its time to knock it down! I went for years with most of the ER doctors recognizing my wife from seeing her coming in so much with me. One doctor looked at me and said, "where do i know you from?" as i lay there on the table, i said from "here" LOL he didn't believe me, so i gave him dates and injuries. He came back later and told me i was right! LOL... as i've gotten older, i've slowed down, and don't have as many "accidents" as I used to. Now the doctors know me from all the arthritis that's setting up in all those old injuries. wish you the best of luck on the try outs, Go KICK SOME AZZ!
