Do You Know Your Falcons History - Peyton - 12-20-2011 11:48 AM A little quiz I typed up for fun. See how you do. I'll give positive rep points to everyone who gives it a go, and +2 for anybody who gets more than 50% right. 1. I was the Falcons replacement “scab” QB during the strike in 1987. Later I started for the Bears and Lions. Who am I? 2. In my single full season as a starting RB for Atlanta I gained 1185 yards, including two games of 180 yards or more, but the following season I lost my job to a large guy with a metal head. Who am I? 3. I am the guy that took the job of number 2. The Falcons ran the run and shoot during my time in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, the Falcons became the first team in NFL history to have 4 players gain 1000 yards from scrimmage. Who am I? 4. We are the three WRs that set that record referenced in question number 3. Who are we? 5. In consecutive games, I ended an OT game with a pick 6 and knocked a hurdle champion KooKoo. Who am I. 6. We are the two reasons that the Falcons will never draft a CB from Nebraska again. Who are we? 7. I am the only Atlanta QB to throw for 5 TDs in a game, but ironically, most people don’t even remember that I played for the Falcons. Who am I? 8. The Falcons hired me as head coach twice because they were idiots. Who am I? 9. We are the three Falcons that have caught hail marys at the end of games to win. Who are we? 10. We are the football team that lost two of the above referenced games. Who are we? 11. I was the first Falcons QB to win the NFC offensive player of the month. Being honest, it was the only good month of my career. Who am I? 12. I had 58 catches for the Falcons as a rookie WR, but I only had 40 catches for the balance of my career after that. Who am I? 13. We are the two players the Falcons acquired in the trade with Indianapolis for the rights to Jeff George? Who are we? 14. I was drafted by the Falcons as a running back in the first round, but never had a carry as a RB after my rookie season. The guy the Falcons traded to get me played 20 years. 15. I was an undrafted FA, but I had a better career than all 12 guys the Falcons drafted that year put together. I am easily the best undrafted player the Falcons ever had. No argument to be had. Who am I? 16. The Eagles cut me, so I joined the Falcons and helped them make the playoffs for the first time ever. I kicked 5 FGs on MNF. The Eagles regretted cutting me when they missed a game winning chip shot in the playoffs. Who am I? 17. Sadly, we are the 3 Falcons that passed away in an 18 month span in the late 80s. Two of use died in car crashes and one of us died of a cocaine overdose. Who are we? 18. More Falcons QBs have attended this university than any other school. Which school am I? 19. I was the Falcons “Scab” kicker and the next year they gave me the real gig. I attended Lakeside HS, and the write of this quiz used to catch balls for me over at the apartment complex on Shallowford Road. Who am I? 20. I hold the Falcons record for yards per pass attempt in a season. As a matter of fact, only one QB in the NFL has topped my number since 1953 - Kurt Warner with the “Greatest Show on Turf” in 2000. Who am I? RE: Do You Know Your Falcons History - Shelley#37 - 12-20-2011 01:25 PM 1. Erik Kramer 2. John Settle 3. Mike Rozier 4. Rison, Mathis, kid that went to Denver 5. Kenny Johnson 6. Shawn Thomas? 13. Hinton and Rison 14. Broussard 15. Jessie Tuggle 16. Tim Mazzetti 17. David Croudip is the only one I can remember 18. Oregon 19. ???? 20. Bartkowski - thought it might be Chandler RE: Do You Know Your Falcons History - Jesus - 12-20-2011 01:44 PM Here is what I got so far... 1. Erik Kramer 2. Eric Pegram 3. Jeff George 4. You misread the questions on 3 and 20. On 20, am looking for Yards per pass attempt. On 3 I am looking for a RB, not QB. RE: Do You Know Your Falcons History - Peyton - 12-20-2011 02:29 PM juraitwaluzka, Fanastic job. All of the questions you answered are right except for number 4. RE: Do You Know Your Falcons History - TonyGraziani - 12-20-2011 02:30 PM Just shows me how much I don't know about my team. Now if you do 1 of these from 98 on, then I got you.
