so do the Bears, the Giants, the Cowboys, and if New Orleans holds to form the Lions. Yes folks today the loss sucks, but if things hold to form we haven't lost or gained any ground in terms of our playoff hopes. We are still in the drivers seat.
Lets forget the division, odds are against us, but in terms of a playoff spot we have no reason not to claim one. Lets re focus and take care of business next week against an inferior opponent.

With Forte being out for the next 2-6 weeks (plus Cutler) I could definitely see the Bears losing more games too.

And for you guys worrying what we might do in the playoffs I give you a classic line... once the playoffs start every teams record is 0-0. The regular season means nothing.

i see your point, but when we prove that we can't play against playoff caliber teams every time we face one, why should i think we will do any different once the actual playoffs start?
if we make it to the playoffs, we're one and done again. not being negative, not being pessimistic, no i don't need an attitude change, i am just calling it like i see it. we haven't proven we can win against a playoff team, not in regular season, and not in the last two trips to the playoffs

Or Green Bay for that matter. Hell if not for a flukey punt return they don't even make the playoffs.

It may play out like that, but I choose not to look at it that way, because if I did I wouldn't even bother to watch, and dammit I will not have my fun spoiled
. The truth is no one knows with certainty what will happen (otherwise they would be in Vegas betting every last dime they owned and making a fortune). Yeah, Green Bay will probably win the Super Bowl, and yeah I risk being pissed off like I was today, but if by some small chance it doesn't play out that way the reward will be sooooo worth it. And from my perspective, of course it's all about me.
