and if the Falcons make it I will cheer them on, and if they don't I will just scrap the year.
Between the whole lockout, and just the STUPID playcalling this year (as evidenced by a 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 where we threw it deep twice.....)
My heart (like many on the Team itself) is just not into it.)
I am not a fair weather fan, still love my Falcons, but just don't seem to be interested in Football in general this year. Not even fantasy football is fun this year.
I am sure it is just a phase and I hope the Falcs make it into the playoffs (though I am not sure they deserve it), but the NFL this year has lost its luster for me....I would rather be hitting the bowling lanes and I can not even do that right now due to recent back surgery......
Oh well I will check in from time to time with the folks here and for the latest rants....just need a break from football in general I guess.

Taking 1 loss to an AFC team a little too hard, especially considering we played our D game and should have been in OT.

Losing to an injured riddled Houston and a third string QB! This one stings... gotta go run the table unless Detroit pulls off an upset tonight!

If it really upsets you that much, you probably should take a break. Sometimes we find ourselves taking football too seriously, and confusing it with real problems.

The Falcons aren't going to win the division, might as well cheer for New Orleans tonight.

Yup. GO everyone vs the Bears, Giants, and Lions at this point. Even with this loss, the Falcons are still in a fantastic position to take a WC spot.

Yeah, I'm cooling down now too. In the past I would punch holes in my walls so I now try to keep a pillow next by me during the games (a bit easier on the hands).

Honestly it isn't just one game folks....this week was just the tipping point. I think Smitty played too much Madden while he was waiting for the season to start and the play calling has gotten downright ridiculous. As I said, I am not abandoning our team, just too frustrated to watch games right now (not to mention I don't get to see them unless I find a stream)
I am still a Falcons fan, but right now this Falcons fan needs a break from the outlandish calls that our coordinators and coach are making. I will continue to be a fan.....just my heart is really not into football in general this year. As much as I want it to be it's just not. I can't watch the fair weather fans and the bipolar OH WHOA is us doomsayers......right now....
Who knows maybe in a week or so my mood will change, but right now it is just how I feel.....
