Which is obvious to anyone without an agenda to push.

Quote:One of the biggest fallout for the Falcons was Ryan and White not working together enough in the offseason like they did the previous offseason. It wasn't until recently that White began getting his head straight and their chemistry improved.

Yep, that was precisely my point. The same applies to the defense and the attempt to transition to a more explosive offense and integrate Julio Jones into it. The OTAs really wouldve helped with this.

Guido, it is my observation that the better we continue to get the less able you are to restrain yourself from letting your Falcons hatred drive what you write. You even inferred as much a few weeks back, commenting on how it was becoming increasingly difficult to control it. Of course there is nothing wrong with that, it is your right, but in my view your posts are transitioning from a well informed opposition point of view to typical smack talk opposition drivel just saying whatever as long as it is conrtrarian, doesn't matter if it's absurd. Honestly its disappointing, you've been one of the few opposition fans that can talk objectively and put yourself above the hate but lately, not so much.

Might it be that you may simply becoming more attentive to those posts that appear to be contrarian and not noting those that are objective in nature? It is getting to that critical part of the season where our expectations are either being realized or being reassessed. Yes, the Falcons do appear to be improving. But, so are the Saints. At this point I see Atlanta as the third best team in the NFC behind Green Bay and New Orleans. I feel the 49er's are flawed and the Ravens exposed those flaws. That may lead to the Saints getting the #2 seed. With the way the Saints are playing at home that would very likely result in a Packers/Saints NFC final.

I think that Atlanta would have trouble with any of the division winners on the road other than the 49ers. The Cowboys are improving at a faster rate than the Falcons and may be a more solid threat to them than the 49ers.

Yes, I dislike the Falcons, but those are my honest assessments of the NFC playoff picture as I see it now.

you really think they'll fall to an NFC West team? even if they lose to the Steelers and ya win out, ya would have 3 NFC losses while they would have 1.

as far as your NFC playoff picture, that's fair, but personally I think there are tiers in the NFC rather than a numerical ranking. I think the Saints, Packers, and Falcons are all about on the same tier right now.

With the way they are playing right now, I'd rank the NFC:

1a. Packers
1b. Saints
2a. Falcons
2b. 49ers
2c. Cowboys

And then everyone else. Those are the top 5, and I actually would not be surprised to see anyone of them beat by another.

Yes. I think it is entirely possible for the Niners to fall to an NFC West team given they have four of them left with three of those on the road. The 49ers have one of the worst offenses in the league and Alex Smith had Tebowesque passing numbers last week. He was sacked NINE times! Two of the remaining games are against the Rams who can really rush the QB.

Yup. I agree on your rankings for the most part. I see two tiers currently. I might have the Cowboys at 2b, though. They have beaten SF once already and they could handle them again with the way they are playing now.

you talk like they don't have a top 10 rushing attack lol...there pass attack is definitely anemic, but the Rams can't put points on the board and the 9ers just happen to have a great defense. not to mention the Rams are the worst defense against the run.

Yes, they do have the 7th ranked rushing attack. So? That's all they can do. The Saints have the 8th ranked rushing game. Atlanta is 14th, but we both have a decent passing attack to go with it as does Dallas. Just wait and see. I predict SF loses at least two more times down the stretch.

No, it's not an issue of objectivity, it's stuff like your 1st reply in this thread that was completely irrelevant to what was being replied to, and stuff like trying to sell the Texans 3rd string QB (as I said before with the Leinart deal, while something I disagreed with at least had merit), it just sounded like taking a shot for the sake of it rather than what I'm accustomed to reading from you.

You should actually consider it a compliment because I'm not really accustomed to hearing you say dumb stuff. The following posts in this thread by you are more the norm.

Sorry. I went back and read my first reply and could see how you took it that way. It was meant to be relevant to the conversation. All I meant was that the lockout had a detrimental affect on all teams and that y'all were in the same boat. Yes, it did take your offense a bit to get going, but the same appears to be happening with the other good teams out there. The Packers, Saints and Cowboys offenses have really come on here recently, as well.
