Saying that.. He missed a couple of games earlier in the season because he and Thomas Jones got in a locker room fight and he broke his hands (character concerns cant be excluded) ...

The main reason i disagree is because of how we are using Julio and what he brings... Both are big physical WR's... Baldwin has build up speed.. You have to get him going to see his speed... Julio can take a 5 yard slant the distance... Dude is big and physical with burning speed.

Also.. im basing everything on the Hoodies comments

I like Baldwin tho... I would have been happy with him if we drafted him... I would have still admitted that A.J Green and Julio Jones were better prospects tho

Don't get me wrong. I am happy to have JJ on our team. The long term benefits of a player with JJ's character far outweigh a lesser man. I am simply saying that the early returns on investment favor Baldwin. JJ suffers, in comparison, due to the number of valuable draft picks it cost to get him. In time, Dimitroff will be vindicated for making his move. I fully expect Baldwin to implode before his next contract.

For the record, I favored the drafting of Torrey Smith late in the first round. Smith will be a good WR and has impeccable character traits. That being said, JJ is clearly the better football player and has a much higher ceiling. JJ has the ability to become a star #1 WR (the center piece of an entire offensive attack) while Smith will likely become a threat as a complimentary player.

Baldwin has been available for 5 games this season and only has 11 receptions on 29 targets for 139 yards, of which only 14 have come after the catch.

On top of that, he was suspended for fighting with a teamate. So I'm REALLY not getting how any of you has one single possitive word about the guy. He's clearly not even in the same realm of the universe as Julio.

I wanted Torrey Smith if we traded back into the early 2nd round... The guy has speed to kill but he is more of a #2 WR... If we stayed at our regular spot i wanted Baldwin... The guy has Vincent Jackson type ceiling (if he keeps jis head on straight) ... I just feel like Julio Jones has T.O type ceiling but faster and a lil less drops

Baldwin in our offense, playing with our QB, RB and companion WR's, could be putting up similar numbers to JJ. Once again, I am not saying that Baldwin is equal nor superior, just pointing out that he has shown uncommon talent and could have been a good choice later in this draft.

I like JJ and I see him as the future star of this offense. I just see potential in Baldwin, as well as Smith and Cobb. I think it is important to recognize rookie talent.

I wanted Torrey Smith at the right price but he is slowly reminding me of Lee Evans. If he doesn't catch the deep ball, he becomes a non factor in the game plan. Julio can catch the deep ball but he can also be effective in other areas of the game as a WR.

Much more complete WR.

This. Lee Evans is also currently being a non-factor on the Ravens because, you guessed, he's not catching the deep ball.

Frankly I'm tired of the whole JJ/AJ debate, but not unlike Tebow, this story isn't going away any time soon.
