No one expected us to win this game anyway - The Falcon Jedi - 10-10-2011 12:09 AM I think when we jumped out 14-0 it surprised everybody. But this team doesnt play football after half time. And there was no way we were going to hold Rodgers to just 2 FGs. Clabo and Baker killed us. Ryan overthrowing Julio again. Owens getting burned. BVG and his 3-3-5 Prevent defense, rushing only 3 guys... when will this stop? Mularkey came out with the Perfect Game Plan - why did we abandon it? Who knows. This team seems always to go into either Relax Mode, and then Panic Mode when momentum changes to the other team, and we can never recover. We go into a string of endless 3-and-oiuts, then the Defense cant stop a 3rd down. When this team has a breakdown - it has 15 minutes of non-stop breakdowns, and then the game is over. Bad coaching, Bad execution. Its across the board. Oh well. 2-3 is what it is. We had them by throat and let it go. Thats what is so upsetting. This team gets your hopes up, then squeezes your heart to pieces. Im used to it, sadly. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - krammmit - 10-10-2011 12:40 AM The topic name is a F'in copout, its no excuse, your point tho, I agree with 100%. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - atljbo - 10-10-2011 12:43 AM We was suppose to win this game ... No cop out... My biggest problem is Mularkey abandoning what work for us and Clabo had some very very costly penalties. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - bF™ - 10-10-2011 12:57 AM i don't really have too much of a problem with losing this game. GB matches up with us extremely well and they're a hell of a team. i do have a problem with HOW we lost this game - getting conservative with the lead, going zone heavy in the 2nd half, giving up on the run, etc. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - monoxide - 10-10-2011 12:59 AM we have to be one of the only teams in football in which a 14 point lead feels like a tie ball game. It's pretty sad, but like Jedi said...we're used to it by now. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - The Falcon Jedi - 10-10-2011 01:09 AM At least the Bucs got destroyed today. Panthers lost. We're still in the race. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - Jesus - 10-10-2011 01:10 AM just too many mistakes this year...we can't seem to get over that. either that or the team switched with the Bills RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - phocis850 - 10-10-2011 01:12 AM (10-10-2011 01:09 AM)The Falcon Jedi Wrote: At least the Bucs got destroyed today. Second place and missing the wildcard to Seattle or Detroit? or making the playoffs only to lose in the 1st or 2nd round again. unless we start playing extremely efficiently again this year we're not going much further than that. one of the few reasons i felt last year's team could make a run was because of their focus and mental toughness. this team has not shown that this year. RE: No one expected us to win this game anyway - Jesus - 10-10-2011 01:17 AM This just isn't our year. Last year was. But this year we have to wait until next year |
