Greenbay played us like that last year.... I think they believe in their CB's that much.

As long as we have good protection... We should have chances against Greenbay

Julio's been doing great. The next step is for him to be catching the ball above his head and on jump balls. Those deep passes are a lot harder to defend if he reaches up high and plucks them, and that gives Ryan a much easier pass (for instance, the one in the endzone this week where Ryan overthrew it...if he can just put it up high and let Julio sky for it...easy pickings.)

I think that's the next step for our offense in general...put some balls in play and let the WR go get it up high. Most deep passes to CJ, Andre Johnson, Vincent Jackson, etc. wouldn't be completions if the QB tried to throw a perfect pass...instead he puts it up a little short and lets those guys come down with it. It gives the QB a much larger margin of error and gives the pass a much higher likelihood of completion.

When that happens, the deep game will be here, the safeties will back off, and the intermediate will open up.

I havent counted all the times that we didnt get the call. I DO know, however, that we are getting robbed on A LOT of calls. I don't have homer glasses, and will criticize when a player or coach deserves it, so I'm not biased. There have been more missed calls and lack of calls in games against our team than I can remember in recent years...

against the bucs winslow grabbed DRob's facemask and literally threw him to the ground 10 yards in front of one of the refs and no flag. i mean C'Mon MAN, what does it freaking take? and that's just ONE, you're right, i'm noticing more "no calls" this year than i have in quite a few years

That one still absolutely floors me. It wasn't even subtle. Winslow actually dragged Dunte with 2 hands grasping his facemask jerking his head up and down for 10 freaking yards and then threw him to the ground. What's funny is, when they showed the slow motion replay of it, the ref is literally 10 feet away in the foreground with his eyes glued on the entire thing and he watched Dunte go down to the ground and then he just gave Winslow a grimmace look and shook his head at him.

I've never seen such a homer ref cut that much slack before. But it absolutely proved that he was an obvious Bucs homer, which is bullshit.

Yeah, I don't think it's a conspiracy, just bad luck. The refs suck, whether they are incompetent or they are put in a position where it's impossible to do a good job the end result is the same, very poor performance. The NFL should realize this and, because of the available technology, just make some calls from the booth. The accuracy would undoubtedly go up by a great deal. Quick, simple to implement, but of course this will never happen because technology is evil and the refs might get their feelings hurt (I thought Mike Pereria was going to tear up when someone brought this up to him).
