If you had, then you would have noticed the huge cushion the reciever had when he caught the ball, but I guess that didn't count. Whatta bout when he over persuied the reciever on that short pass to his side and slipped down while the reciever ran downfield. I guess that didn't count either. A couple times the camera panned over at Dunta and he looked absolutly lost. If you didn't see it, you wern't looking. Pay attention and learn something or maybe you can just ask some of these credible people and I'am sure they will fill you in.

look, I would like to stick around and debate this issue, but I gotta run, catch you laterWink

Obviously you missed this part about Dunta's play. 6 tackles, 1 for a loss, 1 PD, 12 targets to his zone, 5 completions allowed for 59 total yards(no TD's attributed to him). There were 26 completions on 37 total pass plays for 314 passing yards.

59 yards out of 314 and no TD's. Should I repeat that again?

You can nitpick the 5 receptions that he allowed, but it's not going to change the fact when you tally the sum of the game up, he played extremely well and those numbers are really good.

It's always funny when people with nothing more than talk and nothing to really back up their crying try to argue against sites like PFF who actually back up everything they say with cold hard facts.

lets also not forget dunta didnt play any in the preseason hes still shaking off rust and to only give up 59 to an elite explosive offense is pretty damn impressive

I've seen you complain many times about a player, kind of like the pot calling the kettle black, you know it and I know it and anybody else that read your post know it, so don't pretend that you never complain. You most certainly do your share of crying. Most people on this MB do complain from time to time. If your expecting everybody not to complain, then your living in a fantasy world, so get over it.

On a side note>>> I am glad that Dunta made 6 tackles, even though most of them were well down field. Just think, he may have made less tackles had he defended the pass better. Just saying.

P.S. You did watch the game didn't you????Dodgy

You know when I don't complain about something? When there's proof that I would be wrong and ignorant if I did. Which is the case with you here.

Anyways, I'm done with you. I can't keep wasting time arguing with someone who refuses to realize they're wrong.

and throw in this to go with your point: if your head dont' get there BEFORE your shoulders, something is terribly terribly wrong and you are probably on your way to a hospital

RE: Dunta Robinson - Radical - 09-19-2011 05:22 PM

As a side note. PFF has said many of times that while Dunta isn't bad, he hasn't been playing up to his contract at all. I don't know how you can NOT call Dunta's hit on Maclin dirty. The side angle shot showed he clearly was leading with his head by a decent margin. It wasn't like last year where Jackson leaned into the hit and Dunta came up from underneath. Collinsworth was ridiculously over the top, but it was a legit penalty.

RE: Dunta Robinson - papachaz - 09-19-2011 05:43 PM

NFL Network just announced his fine is 40K, and said that he said he didn't think the hit was illegal, which means he probably appeals. Don't think he'll get it reduced this time though. Funny as hell though that it DID have an effect on maclin for the rest of the game.

"footsteps, is the DRob"?!? screw catching the ball, i'm NOT gonna get hit like that again!!!!!!

haha

RE: Dunta Robinson - Chuck Norris - 09-19-2011 05:50 PM

40k and no suspension. Cool with me. At least he can play

RE: Dunta Robinson - RnB - 09-19-2011 06:02 PM

I am not "glad" he laid that hit but I understand why he did it.

The penalty sucked but the refs as a whole sucked last night. So many missed calls, or flat out wrong calls. Its worth it to make sure opposing receivers understand that they ARE going to take big hits when they dont have time (or room) to avoid an incoming DB. Willie Mo and DRob lay the wood at every opportunity.

One question- did you go to the game or did you stay home and watch it.
